IMO simply a marketing effort in order to get some publicity for the Su-35 ! Just take a look at the text:

Fomin refused to specify how many fighters China is seeking to buy. Last year it cancelled an order for a second batch of 95 Su-27s for local assembly, after Shenyang launched series production of its comparable J-11 design.

That says all … maybe a report from 199x just dusted off.

even the syrian mig-23 have shoot down 2 israel f-15 althought the israel says they were downed coze of technichal problems :rolleyes:

or the famous iraqi mig-21 which have shoot 2 iranian f-14

IMO if there won’t be that “surprise” some eagerly await for from Russia, I suspect the next one will be yet another type from Xina, either the rumoured SAC J-19 (which is now called a medium-weight, twin engined fighter also for export) or the Xian JH-XX.

Well, Yak & IAPO are gaining orders at a fairly quick phase these days..
Who’s next? Some S-American country perhaps?
How about Vietnam?

Sorry to slow down Your enthusiasm a bit, but there’s a significant difference between being “interested in” and “gaining orders” !!

And in mind of the current situation in Syria I highly doubt, if this last order will ever be fullfilled.

Hmmm … not really !

I like the new grey on the helicopters and I think that, together with ablack anti-glare part and a slightly different grey for the radome or dielectics would be nice :rolleyes: … but neither that glossy grey for the “civil” types nor that light grey for the MiG-29 and even less that strange one for the Su-34.

Besides that, in the latest AFM is a photo of the latest UASF F-15 scheme … that looks nice ! 😀
