The problem with search functions on forums is getting the terms right for the results, I’ve looked more than once for a thread that I know has existed but not been able to find it, however there are those who are too lazy to look up stuff, it’s a double edged sword.

What ever you do you can’t please all the people all the time.

Silly me thinking this was all about the F35 and further government cuts. The US might bring a couple over and show us what we could have had if we are really lucky.

I always have the utmost respect for all those who serve or have served in our armed forces during any conflict and am humbled and lost for words when hearing of injuries or fatalities. But would like to thank everyone for doing their job.

It’s just another way of regenerating parts of London at the expense of everyone else in the UK…

As I understand it most of the bill is being footed by private sponsors and the London tax payer, it is billed as the London Olympics so if I can avoid the beeb and this forum mostly remains on topic it should be manageable to avoid the event.

As for kids taking being inspired to take up sport, I think that generally a more sustained exposure to a sport than some coverage once every four years is more likely to inspire and motivate them.

Bit late to change our minds now. Any idea when the bid to host the games was first initiated, sure it was when things weren’t quite as bad as they are now.

Most cities that host the games do so at a loss and can’t really say I’m all that bothered by it.

E3 makes the news on a quiet day.

Must be a quiet day if a routine flight makes the local news in Leicester.

And I thought this would be a Pink Floyd related post! How low is the Hornet, clearly below mast height, is there a clear channel running down the bay, at that speed there would be little time to avoid any boats, love them though.

Interesting discussion on how assests and debts will be divided up last night with Salmond thinking it only fair that all the off shore gas and oil profits go to Scotland however the debts the UK owes would only be a much smaller figure, even though RBS was bailed out by UK taxes.

Sure they can pick up some stuff here http://www.mod-sales.com/ for their army, Cameron seems determined to sell everything off.:D
