ell Gibsons batman to get that £***ing dog on a lead because you don’t know the trouble It’s going to cause in 58 years time:diablo:

Now that has to be one of the best suggestions ever.

Personally I’d just be happy back in the early 80s at Yeovilton seeing all the SHaRs and some other nice fast cold war jets. Otherwise it would be back to 40/41 to see the Whirlwinds flying.

Non rugby would be Paris 2000 for the European cup final, only watched it on tv instead of going and has to be one of rugby’s finest moments.

Whilst on the subject of F1 did anyone happen to see the F1 program covering the accidents of the 60s’ and 70s’? being too young I wasn’t aware of how bad it was and the sheer volume of fatalities. A very sobering program.

As long as the weather is better than the last one, which was a great day out anyway.

Don’t have the details of the nose art but MkIII LJ543 EX-J of 199 Sqn had a ‘Jane’ on the nose and the red serials.

Have to say that I’m not surprised that the term charabanc has fallen but what do journalists really know about aviation matters?

Never liked the daily wail but if this news is true it is a sad day (as any aviation related fatality is), thoughts with the family.

Just seen the other link on conflicting reports so fingers still very much crossed.

(ex. one guy failed his test for adjusting his positioning during a parallel park, examiner said the student had abandoned the manuevre ).
Has anyone got any advice for passing? Has anyone experienced rather unfair decisions by a driving examiner? Please pass on your experiences 🙂

I screwed up my reverse park, asked to have another go but due to the build up of traffic the examiner said drive on, thought at that point I’d totally failed so relaxed and wasn’t quite so anxious about my driving and stopped thinking about it all…as a result I passed

Once I’d passed my instructor told me that now I’d learnt to pass a test it was time to learn to drive.

You could always give up and just go for a ppl, my uncle got his at 16 and breezed through, driving took about 4 attempts, I guess there is more to hit on the ground!

Sorry – never had any appeal whatsoever. To me the sole purpose of a gun is to kill someone or something.

You could argue that any offensive military aircraft has the same potential, the sole purpose of a Lanc, Halifax or Sunderland was to destroy or kill.

Depends what you want to do with them, plenty of good Replica Imitation Firearms available to reenactors and airsofters which can be very hard to distinguish from the real thing, however the law on RIFs has been tightened up in the UK over recent years so luckily less idiots have access to them, plus it’s probably cheaper and easier to get the real thing in the cities.

Inkworm, I refer you to my #12, the fact that the cockpit area kind of looks similar to a Vulcan is misleading from a fundamental design point of view (ie the important bit regarding the basic question here), at the end of the day the two overall concepts are very different from each other.

The probe bit I fear is not helping here, personally I find it puzzling to see on the Northrop drawing and leads me to wonder about the age of the drawing?

There’s so much going on it’s tricky to remember it all, however I’m looking at this from an artist’s point of view, not an engineers and the initial appearance is similar, as for the probe, it’s why I raised the issue of authenticity of the drawing.

Will be interesting to see where the speculation leads ultimately.

As for the British bias, that’s rubbish, the US is still one of our colonies and the Empire is standing firm so what do we have to worry about? :diablo:
