It depends on the lightness of the colour that the white or black is going against that impacts on the legibility, whilst the easiest is black on white for the printed page, it is actually easier to read white on black when on a screen, though convention means we are generally used to and more comfortable with the black on white.

Going back to printed, if the lightness is less than 50% then black should be used and if the reverse then white.

The issue I find arises when you have a single colour of text going across a mixed background.

hasn’t something like 911 or 111 been trialled in a few regions but scrapped due to again a lack of funding by the government.

If that does happen, its a shame the RAF couldnt have done something similar with the Harrier to make its departure from RAF service accessible to more of its fans.

No it is a shame the tight fisted excuse for a government couldn’t release the funds to let the RAF do this but then all the services are being shafted so what is the point? 🙁

The Harrier is going, that’s bad, very bad.

Illustration work is looking good for the next year and picking back up well at the end of this year. Thanks to all those who’ve helped or put me in touch with people, you know who you are.

Considering how many cider farms are in the area, I’d say he’s been at the Vickerys or Sheppys

Love to know how he painted it, or did he just go in the nearest model shop and mug the owner for a Draken kit?

How long are they going to be grounded and were abouts, it doesn’t look like the cricket ground, unless the place has gone drastically down hill since I was last home.

Rather peversely, a kit can be too perfect.

Why not go for an obscure Eastern European vac form kit where even the fuselage has to be scratch built.

I’ve got a Venom resin kit and the two booms are different thicknesses.

What with the wedding next year and the olympics the year after having a further 6 years of roundball build up would do my head in.

I still remember the Rugby World cup, now that was good and is a decent sport.
