The HiMARS can fire the standard M31 Unitary MRLS rocket which has a 200lb warhead. The bigger ATACMS can have a 500lb warhead.

eh I’d like to see F-117 fly over enemy territory without EW jamming. Not a single Rafale was lost over Libya simply because of the power of Spectra.

um, it did that all the time in Kosovo and Iraq.

btw, the same “not a single xxx was lost in Libya” can be said for a lot of planes and they did not use jamming.

The F-117 that was shot down was at 13km distance and flying the same route it had done before.

Nobody claims that 5th gen fighters are invisible, just that the range at which you can detect them are extremely small. The aforementioned 13km would be classified as such.

On the night of the F-117’s loss, it was in a flight of 8 F-117s. If it were so easy to detect, why were none of the others shot down that night (or ever since)?

IIRC, the US targeted GPS jammers in Iraq with JDAMs just to prove they did not work.

Why do you keep representing conflicts like there is only one way of doing things?

1. If there is a likely threat of any serious A2A in the path of inbound F-35 strikers, then they can send along dedicated F-35 escorts with 4-6 internal AAMs up at 50k.

2. If there are LW radars in the area, they will be the targets of multiple long ranged missile attack before the F-35s get in the area.

3. You completely forgot about MALD and MALD-J.

You also conveniently forgot that the Serbs shot that F-117 down at 13km. That in no way is any kind of long range shot. The F-117 also suffered from a low amount of SA, low maneuverability, and no way to defend itself. Non of that applies to the F-35.
