Just to add some backdrop of the event it is sad that people still try not to pay towards the event in anyway shape or form, I have been three times so far and enjoy every minute the work that goes into the individual reenactment senarios and detail is worth the fee on its own. You then get flying on top of the battle scenes in my view its all value for money
This one museum I have yet to visit and looking at the pictures so far I may have to go this year, good work chaps hats off to fellow restorers and men of vision and ladies as well no doudt. Grit and determination and a love for all that is worth preserving and educating those who might otherwise have no input from school, well done keep up the good work
So anther film that should be left alone just like the dam busters and air brushing the code name and gibsons dog for the pc brigade, its fair to say they have ran out of fresh ideas. Next will be band brothers and saving ryans privates
Get yourself a copy of wrecks and relics it has many airframes and nose sections from all over the UK and it also gives contact address for most of the locations, thats what I have used for many years and been successful in hunting for either bits or complete exhibits give it a try
Then I agree with all the above its a shame we still dont have a public whipping in towns or cities or better still the stocks, and I’m not joking either as scum should be treated like that. We have become to pc and to left wing
Perhaps he’s just another on of those bipolar ones that maý be a bit more clever and has deep seated problems in the mind, though this is not an excuse to hoodwink those in authority who oversee the safety of others in this pursuit. That said what was the officialdom doing just sitting on thier hands instead of checking his CV, its a definite case of eye off the ball, or was it in play even. Lets hope some good can come from this though not to the detriment of normal law abiding folk
Why wasn’t anyone asking the right questions and did he keep his currency on ubisoft flight sim or sky TV, my other concern is a wider one
of how many more people like this are out there. Its mind boggling to think its taken all this time to catch him he should serve time on cosicain an iron mask, its people like him that ruin it for the honest people who then have to work twice as hard to make things work. And those in ivory towers who ddon’t know anything about life who sit behind desks with a yellow jacket and a clipboard with no experience will win again, and I despise those types as they are the cancer of society its self
Nice little aircraft this along with the yak 130 they look like very stable platforms for the wide ranges of tasks that you would normally expect for this type of jet. Though its fair to say that the drive toward drones make me think that their place in history could be short.
So your trip is going well then, I hope your having some nice memories and that all of the visits have been worth while and enjoyable
I agree with the above I would be proud of that diorama and what really stands out is the detail along with taking the care to put the figures on their feet and not on a foot sized plinth, this little lady should carry on well done and keep going thank you so much for sharing
Saw a chipmunk over Newark Air Museum yesterday 18th February about mid afternoon in the red white and grey scheme he was throwing it around about, oooh the lucky devil
A red nose on vulcan is nothing new we did at newark many moons ago, have a word with twin otter 23 he may provide evidence of the event, it was a hoot, though it was only the TFR radome and also had hands if my memory serves, lovin the feedback though
Maybe its just time that it was put to rest and maybe thats what this is all about, it is sad but nothing lasts for ever so its about time people were honest and just come out with it and say what the true end game is and what the final part of this last of the true British greats will be.
Whats even nicer is that this is the second private museum airframe in the last week that has come on leaps and bounds, I just love these colour schemes on the first issue GR 1 varients . The ones at cosford look the same and in immaculate condition on top of Norfolks and Bournemouths you can’t beat jaguars and they are in the ascendancy keep it guys loving your work.
Well I gave up after 35 as it seems to think that I dont know the difference between a P70 and a DB 3 and on number 10 it was a P26 Peashooter but the answer wasnt even there, I am good at aircraft recognition and know the most difficult ones so when a programme says I am wrong it gets me mad. I’m turning green right now aaaarrrggg
