There’s no such thing as a bad air show especially if you love aircraft as much as me and some of the other plane nuts on this forum.

I’ve been to loads of shows every year since my first IAT at Greenham Common in the seventies right up to Waddington two weeks ago and I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed everyone of them even when the rain is totally drenching me. I have of course endured my fair share of disappointments but surely that’s a hazard of the hobby!

Hi Alex,

I’ll come clean, I’m 30 and still play Warhammer 40000 and I know at least one person in there fifties who still plays it so at 21 you’ve nothing to worry about.
I field a 5000 point Ultramarine army, and also a 2500-point Legion of the Damned army
And to be honest at games workshop prices you have no choice but to be an employed adult to afford it !!!!

I’ve included a photo of my Ultramarine army, also at the top middle of the picture is my Undead Blood Bowl team, I cant include a picture of my Legion of the Damned army as I’ve packed them away for transit ready for a game tomorrow. I’m playing against Chaos Iron Warriors so I’ll probably get hammered but I’ll go down fighting !!

Mines a Cannon EOS 500n with 26mm wide angle, 28-80 zoom and a 75-300mm zoom. I’ve had it 4+ years and had some brilliant results.

I use an Olympus C860L digital for static aircraft which has served me well for the last 2 years but I will be upgrading to somthing newer later this year.

I live about two miles away from the Swift, its just off of the road I live on so I have very easy access to it. The store owner locks up around 5:30pm so I was lucky to catch him last night and he let me in for 15 minutes to let me take the photos and also have a quick chat.

The store owner gave me the impression that he couldn’t care less about the aircraft as it belongs to his father. I did ask him about the possibility of moving it but he seemed content in the knowledge it could be swept away with a broom in a few years time ! I’ve lived here for over fifteen years now and have visited the aircraft many times, but I’ve always suspected that the day will come when the aircraft is declared unsafe and is unceremoniously cut up on site, however, after reading you reply I feel inspired to track down the store owners Farther and see what the long term plans are. So feel free to email me a letter and I’ll take with me when I go which will be sometime over this coming weekend.
