Have done a bit of re search based on the info supplied above, the Sunderland had a sliding bomb rack so presumably the bomb control is for that also had an aux engine for pumping the bilges so my best guess is the lever controls that, now just need pics in situ!

Interesting thanks I have few Hawker brackets and they all start with an A followed by a code the text on the bomb bracket looked similar to other Hurricane pieces i have seen particularly on the coolant access panel. but it appears they are Sunderland.

This gauge looks wartime to me the Mosquito also carried a drinking water tank, It should have a referenece on the side that would give you a date. Certainly unusual never seen one like it.

Why? because she owns a Spitfire ? that doesnt mean you own the rights to the name!! The Spitfire belongs to all of us and i hardly think there is any comparison to those who flew this aircraft in anger to the privaledged few you flyn them today after all no ones shooting at them!

Beam me up snotty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😮 I guess not everyone can afford a Spitfire those who build replicas better not dare to call it a Spitfire or we will incur the wrath of the REAL Spitfire owners.

You would think if it was presented it would not be years after the event and the plaque would be on the front rather than a bit of paper stuck on the back?

Looks like a BP Defiant I wonder how they have performed as a fixed Gun fighter without the turret ?

    Tony

what are your thoughts on the one i have posted it looks identical to the Blenhiem one but they dont seem to have any brace fitted, could it be Hurricane?

This is the source of my questions, I was told it was taken from a German Bomber shot down in the Wellington Somerset area but to me its clearly a British finish. So far the best match seems to be Blenheim MKI it is adjustable but the extra green bracket doesnt appear in the Blenheim pics i have seen. It has a part number of 30699 but no FB visable it may be covered by the paint.
