Good grief, I have actually read an article by Hague that is non-partisan (well apart from one or two asides)
Quite well written as you say.

He point blank ignored the SKY T.V. crew, when they asked him about his intentions of having women in his cabinet. Now if that’s not being ignorant, I don’t know what is.

Do you really mean ignorant,
1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned:an ignorant man.
2.lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact:ignorant of quantum physics.
3.uninformed; unaware.
4.due to or showing lack of knowledge or training:an ignorant statement.
or are you substituting the word for rude?
1. discourteous or impolite, especially in a deliberate way:a rude reply.
2.without culture, learning, or refinement:rude, illiterate peasants.
3.rough in manners or behavior; unmannerly; uncouth.
4.rough, harsh, or ungentle:rude hands.
5.roughly wrought, built, or formed; of a crude construction or kind:a rude cottage.
6.not properly or fully developed; raw; unevolved:a rude first stage of development.
7.harsh to the ear:rude sounds.
This may be why you have had a few people questioning your comment

I think a programme devoted entirely to listening to the stories of ex-ATA pilots such as Joy Lofthouse and Mary Ellis would be fascinating viewing….unless I’ve missed one made previously?
Yes, there has been one broadcast a few years ago. Can’t remember the title
Edit:
This was it
Ah, a good salesman. Hadn’t thought of that. Of course!
Reminds me a bit of Call me Dave

Someone on another forum pointed me to this. About as professional and convincing as the stuff from CHQ on Mr.Corbyn.
Which is why it was done

Is it me or does nobody really have any respect for anybody these days ?
You don’t seem to have much respect for quite a few people, but whilst I do recognise the points you are making, I agree with scotavia, it is not somethng I would think most veterans would concern themselves about.
My Father is a veteran of the Korean war. He doesn’t stand for nor sing along with the National anthem. His choice, which I fully respect.
Trekkie,
I think that if you had been aboard the Titanic it would’nt have sunk.
Greenbo, you seem to have missed the point, again.
I was merely linking to an article about a piece of research. Did I at any point suggest that I agreed with the piece? I was simply offering it up as an alternative point of view, tongue in cheek.
It is typical of those with narrow thinking and even narrower sources of information that they will take things so literally.
Hope you are enjoying the south coast today.

As I have explained before, I am not a socialist, nor am I tame. Typical of a right winger, or should that be a right whinger, to expect others to do the work for them:rolleyes:
Just in case you were not aware of what socialism means, I have spent about 27.5 seconds finding this for you

Trekkie,
Thanks for that, it’s much as I thought. Next question : Do you know if there has to be a ballot of members immediately prior to strike action ?
No idea. I suggest you look it up
