It was a PR type either Spitfire PR Mk XIX PS915 (BBMF) or I think the Spitfire PR XIX PS853 (Rolls Royce Heritage) Definitely a PR Type then a little later in the afternoon G-TIGA, a Tiger Moth in the same direction but a little lower…..

Just looked at the web site, never realised that they allowed the public inside the Lancaster for taxy rides, must try this out sometime. Good way to raise funds, wished more organisations did this.
Runway06, Yes, having had the pleasure I can well recommend it !
Cracking pic’s !!

It does indeed. Positive thoughts for all involved……
Very touching, well written and a worthy farewell tribute indeed…..

Looking for a DVD of the above film but can’t find hide nor hair on Amazon or anywhere else. Do I have the right name for it. I think it was about a fighter Squadron during the last war. Any help would be appreciated:confused:.

I don’t know if you have found a copy yet but today I was at The Masson Mills Shopping Center type place in Matlock Bath ( Driving Duties ..! ) The old, Sir Richard Arkwright Mill.
They have several copies of this DVD there, together with a load of other old films…
