India bans Su-30MKI fighters from using radars during ‘Red Flag Nellis’ exercise in 2008
Or let us remember the news from Sept 2005 where two british SAS officers were arrested with a car full of assault rifles, IEDs, medical kit and an antitank weapon after they dressed up in turbans and black wigs deliberately opened fire on Iraqi police members.. This is exactly the kind of incident that sealord would immediately attribute to AQ. But unless we believe that AQ has links directly to SAS, it looks like the fire of civil war was ignited deliberately by the US and UK forces themselves.
Why does everybody think that they were SAS? They could have easily been SBS or even more likely Special Reconnaissance Regiment.

I notice Flex that you believe that ‘IEDs’ were part of the equipment. Probably you believe that the whole car was packed full of explosives as per.

‘If you really want to look for truth, then we should resort to the Iraqi justice away from the British provocations against the sons of Basra, particularly what happened today when the sons of Basra caught two non-Iraqis, who seem to be Britons and were in a car of the Cressida type. It was a booby-trapped car laden with ammunition and was meant to explode in the centre of the city of Basra in the popular market. However, the sons of the city of Basra arrested them. They [the two non-Iraqis] then fired at the people there and killed some of them. The two arrested persons are now at the Intelligence Department in Basra, and they were held by the National Guard force, but the British occupation forces are still surrounding this department in an attempt to absolve them of the crime.’
Pete,
Have you tried

Do you think the Irainians, don’t know that is exactly what the U.S. plans on doing?, you realy think they haven’t learned from Iraq’s mistakes?
I can tell you they have and it will not go down as easily as you think, they are ready for that type of attack, thier planes will be moved to secret locations, and not just sitting there to be bombed, just like NATO’s destruction of few of Serbia’s Tanks, planes, Iran’s warplanes will not just be bombed on the ground, and this is post WWII the militaries now a days have surpluseS of weapons built and hidden, not being built during “the war”
What secret locations? Iran is a big country. Its air assets are stationed where they are in order to protect that part of the country. Are they simply going to fly the Bushehr F-14s and hide them under the tails of commercial aircraft at Teheran International? Are they going to do the same with the F-4s at Bandar Abbas? Aircraft repositioned hundreds of miles away from where they would be needed. Plink Tehrans runways and taxiways and the job is complete. Do you not think that is job done for the US/Coalition? How are they going to hide their tanker fleet and any AWACS (ex-Iraqi) that they might have re-instated?
Aircraft such as F-14s and F-4s and F-5s require to be operated from proper runways. With the Iranian early warning radars and command and control in shreds how are these ‘secretly located’ aircraft going to operate effectivley? Anything getting off the ground in those circumstances is going to be milling around and easy meat? The Iranian Air Force simply wouldn’t be able to get out of the same predicament that the Iraqis suffered in 1991. No doubt, 1man, you’ll be hanging on to everyword from ‘Tehran Bob’ as he informs the world of how secretly located F-14 and F-4s are slicing the infidels from the sky! Obvioulsy, 1man, you have all the answers. Would you like to expand?
Already on here
How do you explain that they have a 550,000+ Army with 300,000+ reservists:confused: even the U.S. admitts that Iran is much more capable than Iraq, haven’t you learned from Korea/Vietnam:D
The objective would be to ‘de-fang’ Iran. Simply a conflict of attrition which Iran couldn’t hope to win. Their navy would disappear and their airfields would be rendered unusable. Target their defence production facilities and the Iranians would gradually be crippled. All that time and effort spent in a military build-up only to have it plinked. No amount of propaganda and taking to the streets in religious fervour will replace those lost military assets.
Was lazily watching an old ‘spy’ series on TV (Persuaders or some such rubbish) and the hero took a flight in a beautiful Comet – but the Comet soundtrack had piston engines a la DC6 droning on!
By the way, have you noticed how the ‘Redcoat Soldiers’ and other British forces are using American drill commands (left face, about face, etc) in UK TV series? And those redcoats in the ‘Sharpe’ series – they look like they are riding wooden hobby horses when they are supposed to be marching.
The ‘military advisors’ paid loadsa money to produce such ***p certainly didn’t serve in any British forces. Try better, British TV!
Any other hoots seen and heard?
Bri :diablo:
The drill commands are perfectly accurate. Did it not cross your mind that the U.S. drill commands might have originated from old British drill?
The following is a British drill manual dating back to 1807.

‘S.4. The Facings’
Some commands from the manual
‘To the Right, Face’
‘To the Left, Face’
Great work, Billy.

Why? Would it have turned up on evil-bay?
Purely done for the value of the metal. Nothing is safe! Memorials worldwide are being targeted.
Iran says Russia to supply new air defence system
TEHRAN (AFP) — Iran announced on Wednesday it is to receive S-300 air missile defence systems from Russia, a move that risks angering the United States which has been critical of past arms sales to Tehran.
…… [edited for brevity]

Who is saying it was a nuclear facility? Mossad? CIA? What do we have as evidence? Their word and few images, which don’t tell us much.
Yep, The Syrians just went to a lot of trouble to bulldoze the remains of an old ‘Cement Factory’ that the Israelis bombed!
Note the aircraft in the background?

Vikasrehman,
From older Google Earth images the facility was being built over a number of years. There might have been no radioactive material present at the facility. The Israelis might have chosen to disable the project before it ever even reached that stage?
There has been no update on the IAEA October statement in regards to Syria and the ‘undeclared’ site. Even if the IAEA visited the site then the structure has gone. They have probably dismantled the small building on the river bank too? It must be so frustrating for Syria? They lose their project in an air strike and have to go to the expense of erasing the remains and cleaning up the site in order to keep the IAEA off their backs.
Darren, Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
