    You think? Not keen myself!

Just a bit different to the current display model that was at Shoreham last week – I guess we are used to solid as opposed to camouflaged colour schemes on Hawks in the UK

    Eastbourne Airshow

Shoreham Airport is always well worth a visit whilst Eastbourne Air Show is on as most of the display aircraft are based here for the week and regularly practice their displays either before or after popping down the coast to the show.

The airport even produce a list of the aircraft arrival and departure times so that you can time your visit to see your favourites.

An electronic translation of the original article, some errors in the translation I’m afraid…

Sensationel bunker appeared on the beach
    25. June. 2008 11.39
Arkæologer is currently in the process of examining a German bunker, which has remained untouched onto the beach by Søndervig since the capitulation in 1945.

A local bunker-entusiast went to explore the bunkeren, after it had arrived on the dunes during a storm on 1. March.

And inside the bunkeren he found to his great surprise, chairs, tables and other furniture from the Germans stay in bunkeren during the war.

Now nazibunkeren then to be examined by a team of archaeologists led by bunker-expert Jens Andersen, head of Museumscenter Abbas.

    — It is quite sensational. I have dealt with bunkers in 25 years and never seen anything like it. I would not have thought that it would be possible, “said Jens Andersen.

It was the local bunker-entusiast Empty Cassøe from Matamata, which was the first made it big fund in bunkeren.

After the storm 1. March, he was out on the beach to take pictures of bunkers and discovered in this context that the entrance to the past sanddækkede bunker had come into view.

    — So I clambered in and then with the same a cupboard and some other residues. It made me even more interested, so I clambered deeper into the bunkeren and took this space, which is quite complete furnished, says Tommy Cassøe

    A slight deviation of thread

Many thanks 320psi for such a prompt reply – that is exactly the photo I was looking for although I guess it must have been a later re-print that I saw as I was only 1 at the time!

    With best wishes

    A slight deviation of thread

I seem to remember an amazing photograph that I saw as a child of a Lightning diving in to the ground with the pilot clearly in view as he ejected from the aircraft.

Does anyone remember this or even have a copy of the photo they could post?.

    Many thnaks

There is an excellent video for one of Will Youngs songs (dont know which as I am not a fan) which is shot in the style of Top Gun and was obviously filmed at Thunder City with some impressive Buccaneer and Hunter footage.

Having established the cause of this immediate problem, I would suggest that time is now spent determining where the rest of the pilots pen is before another incident occurs.
