You could try the aviation hobby shop near Heathrow (http://www.tahs.com/index2.html) they make the “Airlines” book, probably the best register book for spotters. You can still get the good old trusty CAM (civil aircraft markings):http://www.ianallanpublishing.com/catalog/ Not the best book for the serious spotter ,also there is LAAS: http://www.laasdata.com/ and Buchair: http://www.buchairshop.co.uk/
And no doubt numerous enthusiasts shops dotted around the place near airports.
Hope these help, i gave up number crunching a few years back to get into photography, found i never had time to keep up to date(i done a LOT of visiting airports then as now!!) AND still bought “Airlines” up to last year (out of habit i guess, never made one single underline in 3 editions hehe)though STILL have loads of bits of scribbled paper with logs from all over Europe in a drawer…just can’t seem to throw them away 😮 😮 😮
This link should help:

ABZ is very busy with helicopters for the north sea platforms, also gets AF ERJ and Fokkers, Eastern Saab/JS41’s, Wideroe D8s,Braathens 737’s,KLM fokkers and 737’s,Flightline 146’s, City Star Dorniers, Spanair,Air Europa, Iberworld, LTE,Monarch etc.. charters and lots of Antonov types (12’s,26’s etc..) on freight duties, and of course BA,BMI,too.
Great Pictures there you got any shots from RAF Cranwell and RAF Leeming at all?
James
Thanks guys;
Manston, sorry, none, went around Cranwell, not one single aircraft in sight (bank holiday), at Leeming there was some Hawks doing tandem take-offs,unfortunately the light was poor, hence the shots were mince!
Thanks Toni and Lance, Yes Toni it has been a wee tad warm here lately 😀
Lance, PIK seems to be a Globex hotspot, every other time i visit there is one.
Enjoy yer shooting 🙂 🙂
Thanks lads 😉
Kenny..i like to climb trees 😮 😮 😮 ,nah…i have a large white van with a large roof, which i jump on to shoot over fences, gets me about 6 feet higher than the top of the fence.

Excellent shots there… well done on your dedication, good show. I was planning on being out the door at GLA for the monday morning goodies, but woke at 6am to the sound of rain, and back to sleep i went.
Photobucket seems to be having a wee turn, my latest set are the same with the odd sizes
Ahh very nice Grey. The Jet2 146 stands out to me for some reason, and very good to see they were on R/W 06, that NEVER happens when i visit 😀 😀
Enjoy our storm that we sent down 😮 😮
Very good, Kevin. well done braving that mental storm!!!
Am heading over early doors tomorrow for the early goodies, hopeful for some decent weather (and the phone not to ring)
I believe these will be reg’d B-LFA and B-LFB. Routes to be served are London (Gatwick),Milan (Malpensa),Berlin,Cologne-Bonn,Chicago (O’Hare) and Oakland
Possibly Cimber air have been cutting back and had to visit the scrapyard for spare panels 😀 😀 😀
Great pics.
Thanks for the comments/replies…upon checking out the story further,it seems Armavia had a bad week losing their A320 in the fire and another one crashing 2 days previously!! Hey Antonio-John, that was probably it heading out to pick me up again at BRU. First time in a jungle jet for me, and by a country mile………………they have the best overhead air blower on any aircraft i’ve ever flown in 😀
[QUOTE=wozza] some fools were screaming about it on a.net

Best looking TUI scheme yet (IMO)
Cheers guys. my fave also is the Jet4You, something about it, must try get a shot away from windows.Well spotted Elgan, i also noticed her and just after this shot she was waving, tried shooting it but it never came out.
Excellent shots,Phil.
So where do i send my canon to you for sensor cleaning :dev2: :dev2:
Unfortunately i put mine in for cleaning to be told the dust had got between the sensor and another glass panel behind it!!!,very tricky to get to, full camera dismantle, then blowed clean, cost £150!!! 😮 So it’ll do as a spare whenever my new 350 arrives 🙁
First choice does it for me….were they taken from the wee layby place round the end of the runway?? I was there a couple of weeks ago, first visit to BRS,seemed about the best place i could find.
Taken on landing R/W 24:
The cargo ramp

First time i’ve managed to see the TNT 757

And that is that, hope some of you have made it to the end 😀 😀 :dev2:
