Nice stuff, Iain.
Jonezi beat me to the question. ๐
BTW where were you for the first Wizz shot?? looks like taken from inside Curries yard????
Nice Shots, Once Again What Do You Do For A Living?, you seem
to get to some locations……:)
The clue is in my “location”, I’m a white van man (courier) and am blessed with getting to run all over Europe, shooting and getting paid for it too!!! :dev2: :dev2: (though a wee bit quiet of late ๐ )
Thanks again for the comments, chaps. Appreciated
Your eyes do not decieve you Phil, it is the channex one that works out of EDI, i think it may have been doing a Jet 2, Have plenty of EZY and RYR at LTN if you REALLY want me to post them :p :p :p
Agreed about the Dornier, first time i’ve seen one in BA c/s very very nice.
thanks for the comments guys. ๐
Now MAN:
never bothered with the Man U logojet, badly parked for shooting, Nice to finally shoot one of the Qatar games Airbuses, and the BA Dornier ๐ ๐

And now, finally, to bed!!!
Here is my current fave. Just like the way the last rays of sunlight are glinting down the fuselage, This was the first day that i could get a half decent shot of PIA at GLA (having only been in in darkness before)
Thanki you all, yes, was very surprised to see a Sabre skite down 27R approach, very pleased with that.
Note to webby, i posted this on “commercial aviation” thanks for moving it, i only just noticed the new sub forum tonight, sorry about that.
I remember when they changed it, it was due to the fact it is on air for long hours, but, there is simply not enough aviation material.(i believe they don’t have access to National geographics aviation footage) Think i have seen Flying Heavy Metal with Bruce Dickinson about 20 times hehe (still great show though…)
But a wee bit too much of Pete Watermans bleeding trains shows tho!!!
Cheers Tom
Heard about this a wee while ago, afaik they are “dipping their toe” to see if it is viable to operate from GLA on a possible sched service statesbound next year.
Peter, i’m led to believe it is 747’s
Thanks guys.
Hi Kevin, never seen you, yes, i am in disguise just now hehe. NP with the pics, nice job there, by the time i got the call, and had me cornflakes they were offski, swings and roundabouts…
Sorry for the quality, guys.Having real major camera probs, but thought i’d post them anyway.
Would’nt read too much into what BAA say either,Chris. Not exactly the most clued up organisation ๐ ๐ Pprune is usually very good
I think it is going to be stored out near T5 at a remote stand.
Pier 6 on T3 according to the below:
BAA Press Release
26 April 2006
BAA Heathrow will welcome the worldโs largest commercial airliner, the
Airbus A380, on 18 May 2006, when it makes its British debut to carry out
airport compatibility checks.
The A380 will arrive on Heathrowโs Southern Runway and will park at
Terminal 3, Pier 6 – a new purpose built ยฃ100 million facility that is a
280 metre long, three-storey high pier which can accommodate up to four
A380s at a time.
During its UK visit, BAA and Airbus will be carrying out ground handling
and airport compatibility trials, which will help to ensure that everything
is ready for aircraftโs entry into service. Airlines planning to operate
the A380 at Heathrow include the first to begin scheduled service –
Singapore Airlines โ for whom deliveries are scheduled before year end; as
well as Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Virgin
Atlantic.
Airbus programmes generate around 140,000 direct and indirect jobs in the
UK. At least 22,000 of these jobs result from the A380 – with the figures
increasing further when taking into account UK engine manufacturing through
Rolls-Royce and its supply chain โ which provides the Trent 900 engine as
an option on the A380. More than 400 companies throughout the UK are
contributing to the A380 programme.
When: Thursday 18 May 2006
Time: 12 Midday
Excellent stuff there, guys. I will pass it on to my friend. No kids just her and her boyfriend, so overwing looks to be best.
Thank you all.
Cheers Chris, i had found the seating plan, but it doesnt really show where there is extra legroom (if anywhere!!), am guessing possibly the seats behind the emergency exit doors would be more spacious??
Q. The reason for all the UK training for the GSM B767 and not yet in service?
A. A/C was delivered without baggage containers!
Uh oh, gets sniff of Air Scotlandism at GSM :dev2: :diablo: ๐
RYR will be kicking themselves!! that would be a great excuse to add to their huge list of excuses (British Rail, leaves on track, better watch out ๐ )
Good post, Jethro.
Very good. Never knew Eastern had ATR’s, are these(that) newish?
