Boeing said to be “delighted” at successful field test of plastic pig’s chute deployment … a spokesman says “we had always planned to test the safety chutes in an “in service” environment”

I’ll get me coat!!!
Nice shot.. we had this and 2 others transit thru Glasgow on delivery a couple of years ago
My PB has now gone back to the beta version also, and also cant revert back.. the button does nothing.. Question for those on Flickr: If for example i stick 20 shots from LHR up on Photobucket then i can get a link code with all 20 to paste here and elsewhere.. how do you ,or can you even, do same with Flickr?…i have an account and have been trying to do this but all i seem able to do is one single shot at a time…and the link is to the Flickr page and not just the actual image ie if i posted a pic here it would be the pic in a Flickr page, not just the pic like PB will allow??

I watched it last week…I thought it was a very good film with a good storyline…even as an eagle eyed spotter there was no howlers that usually happen in films featuring aircraft (take off in a DC9, inflight on a boeing 747 test plane, approach in a DC 10 and land in a Cessna 152 type thing) Denzel played the part very well and it taps into the shadier side of cover-ups being attempted by those who stand to lose a lot of money after a crash… You know from the outset that he is in deep doo doo, but also are fully aware that regardless his state of being at the crash that he done an amazing job of airmanship saving many many lives… i recommend it…
Keeping slightly out of the whole piracy thing…for my own reason :)… delayed release dates arent really a cause of piracy… i went to see The Hobbit on release date in uk (dec13th i think).. about a week or two after its first cinema showing and had a dvd quality version of it on my hard drive a week earlier (just preferred see it on big screen)… there are what is called a “screener” which is the full film in DVD quality (sometimes with the odd repetitive watermark popping up every 15 mins)meant for the purposes of the ratings commissions and awards nominations… these have to be done before a movie can be given a rating for cinema release and very often pop up on the net.
Glasgow weather but we could be doing with some of those more exotic airliners. Lovely selection. I always enjoy your posts.
Totally agree!!;) (just one would do!!!:p)
Thanks guys 😀
Gary: unfortunately i think i take Scottish weather with me wherever i go lately
Hmmm… tempted :p I am heading down on sunday, but think my boss would crack up if i leave here that early hehehe
Wow!! some difference!, where they Aussie based crew??. They remind me of the one and ONLY time i would ever fly with Qantas…whose flight crew must have been trained at the British Airways academy of inflight etiquette!! 😡
i flew Tiger last year from KUL to SIN and found it a great airline (for a budget airline), the crew were Singapore based and very pleasant and presented…Inflight catering i agree is aimed at the non discerning customer and i guess the state of the IF mags is a sign of modern times whereby flying is akin to getting a bus now, but, like you the airline did the job at the end of the day….sorry your experience was so poor.
or just nutters!!!
They must have been inches from the props on that!!
Scary thing is there is NOT going to be an investigation…because…………..it was the Transalls final flight!!!

Great wee set of shots Matt… think i am only photographer NOT to have seen a 787 yet (Still find it nothing remarkable to look at…slightly ugly 767 :D)
Aeromexico is fantastic!! never knew they were commencing LHR services.. and at a good time too…must look out for it
Good work
Brilliant!! just brilliant! 😀
Beijing been on my hitlist for a long time now.. what hotel was it you stayed in and any other vantage point info please 😮
Again fantastic job
Great movement Scotty. Nice shot and well worth the trip to shoot that.
Just got lucky with the 2nd shot, 5 mins of sunlight was over the airport ,just as i was passing by again and decided to try get a shot “on stand” just as it was pushed back for towing to parking 😀
That aircraft will be used to the cold snowy conditions !
True
Crew came out in shorts!!!:)
