The registration was previously used on a 737.
Just beat me to it there, last time i saw A6-ESH it was an old rickety B732.
Excellent shots Si.
4th shot is outstanding.
the weather radar which was installed had a major flaw….it couldn’t see through cloud formations and couldn’t read cloud densities.

Ahh the good ol’ British government… “let’s buy first then see if it works”:dev2: Thanx for the comments guys.
Hi Gav
Welcome aboard!
Another unbeatable resource for any ATC frequencies throughout the UK is:
http://www.lightning.org.uk/freqs.html
A good resource for all things MAN, as well as the Ringway Reports posted above, is:
http://www.tasmanchester.com/
Which has a section about spotting locations, but, i would say the AVP is the best place for spotting at MAN (but not for photography) you should see every movement clearly from it.
Hi Paul
You’re doing more travelling than me!!
Have never been myself, but, i have loads of sites with spotting details for various places around the globe i may be lucky enough to visit so i hope this will be of some use:
http://www.aileron.50megs.com/svo_sites.html
Also maybe helpful:
http://www.aviaphoto.ru
Hope they are of use and you can get some good shooting done.

So probably a fair few miles on the clock!!
Very good Keith
Bit of a catch the Ghana 757… is that being worked on at NWI?
Great shots! Great to have it here on Merseyside, albeit briefly.
F-WWDD is destined to become A6-EDQ with Emirates.
Cheers… wonder what the “VNO” on the nosewheel is all about, have to say, i chose visiting LPL over MAN because i thought it would be just awesome at LPL being so much closer on finals than at MAN, and was’nt disappointed, i decided to stay at “the mound” rather than in the field under the lights, but, could hear the gasps of astonishment from the occupants of the field as it glided slowly over. Fabulous!
Well, managed to blag a job to Oxford on saturday so i will be at the runway end at Liverpool in my big white van to catch this.:D:D
Now thats a decision…. do I go to the end of the runway at Liverpool and watch the approach… Speke Hall and watch it bank down the Mersey… or New Brighton for the Wirral Show…
I must say i would deffo be finding myself under the approach lights in that field at LPL, that will be awesome (now going to see if i can get a job down the north west on saturday:dev2:)
Thanks lads… just another day unfortunately… Got woke up at 4am by the police chapping the van window to ask what i was up to:mad: in a car park near Reading on a job. Dropped by Fairford on way home for a wee look see rain lashing down and saw loads of spotters/photographers there already!!!(very keen!) tried to stop for 5 mins and got shifted by the bobbies!!, so, just arrived home and am just about to be served a big steak dinner…. things are looking up!
Cheers again.
Slanj!
I should’nt worry too much Lucas, this is just a one off technical problem, sort of thing that is fixed quickly. You’ll find DUB is business as usual by the morning and will be fine on tuesday (severe bad luck excepted of course!!)
Welcome back Josh.
Top set of shots again.
If i may……..(i know i have a cheek:dev2:) Some of them a wee bit badly cropped (tail parts missing) and maybe a little bigger (1200×800??) would show them off in their glory better. Nose on shots are brilliant too great work.
Very good Andrew!
Got some great weather and light too…Smashing!
Yech!! Garbage, utter mince band… Yes wannabes, Phil Collins got his drumming expertise from a lucky bag:diablo:Bloody embarrassing/cringeworthy watching him on stage playing a kit with no mikes and a top session drummer fully miked up “twinning” with him.
Don’t get me started on the wail he calls singing:mad::mad:
Would rather watch boyzone or take that before watching Genesis live:D
