Cheers guys
Literally just stumbled across Lynton…. driving back from a job, turned a corner and had a Tucano nearly land on the roof!!! Really is some amount of these beasties there. Also, i forgot about “the wig” visiting Aberdeen till i saw his Tiffy parked up, so, quite happy to get a shot of that too.
A nice Saab thats been around of late…

Nice rare sight of 2 A310s side by side at GLA
All too rare sight of a (nearly)full complement on the International stands(Hang your heads in shame for the disgrace BAA Glasgow/Scotland:mad:)

Finally from last friday evening:

That’ll do the noo.
Thanks for viewing.
I had always thought it was something to do with no taxiway link to 09L.
You live and learn.
Prestwick is used quite extensively for crew training, it is an airport with good runway facilities (ILS etc…) but a very quiet airport movements wise, so, airlines can send an aircraft up to get some quality crew taining done without having to do circuits waiting for traffic to clear.
Air Atlantique’s Electra a VERY regular crew trainer at Prestwick.
Just checked the JP forums no problems whatsoever, and the main site is ok too, also, checked A-net(a site i very rarely look at) which seems ok (but noticed a “new look” to the front page…. NASTY!! very cheap/amateur looking)forums on there also working fine.
Owned by Miniliner (Italy) but for the time being leased to and operated by Amapola Flyg (Sweden).
To make matters more interesting, the livery of the plane is actually MagicBird´s. MagicBird went bankrupt just after the first F50-F was delivered due to delays with the cargo conversion.
I’ve seen your Messerschmidt photos. But that’s a Me-108 or its French copy. Not a Me-109. I especially liked the black/white photo.
Cheers Pieter. I’ve seen MagicBird somewhere before thats what was bugging me, never knew they went under tho…
You are quite correct it is an ME 108 typo on my part, well it is a Nord 1005, ME108 replica the engine sounds kind of “normal” not warbirdy sound if you know what i mean.
Oh and not many consider them to be representatives of Scotland.
Fully agree Allen, these morons, thankfully, take nothing to do with Scotland, no other Scottish club or supporters of the Tartan Army on tour bring home headlines like thursdays
I sometimes think there ought to be a decent documentary film made that properly represents the hobby. Hmmmm….
I’m sure there is someone here who happens to be a BBC cameraman that could pull some strings there 🙂 🙂
I found the “article” quite laughable, full of inaccuracies, as per gutter journalism. TBH folk don’t get why we do what we do, because it is seen as a “minority” hobby. This is just a third rate journalist not good enough to be sent to cover the major news events of the UEFA final aftermath (which believe me, the presss, cops, city council were made well aware of long before it happened… track records and all) so this muppet was told go write a silly pointless story from the AVP for page 32.
Don’t take it to heart.
Hi Widdy
I thought the Fokker was the Dutch Royal one, good spot!. No idea about the Slovak AF,(No idea what a Codling is either?? 😮 )could’nt be bothered wandering further along the perimeter fence to get a better view of the main ramp (lazy sod!!)
Nice post mate – been very busy I see! 🙂
That Air Blue is along way from home – is that a regular thing? And also whats the story with all the RAF hercy birds at Cambridge?
Busy busy busy… in fact just about to head out the door in a few mins to go back down to LHR for an overnight job, hopeful to hit MAN tomorrow after a drop in Warrington see if i can catch any of the footy traffic (got my mortgage sorted for the AVP’s new entry pricing!! )
I think the Air Blue is a regular at MAN, tbh, i had no idea what it was when it landed till i saw the AP- reg.
Cambridge i believe, does maintenance/storage on Hercs, thee was also a Saudi AF (i think) one there too.
Allen: 😀 😀 never actually noticed the reg on the 125 hehe well spotted!
Thanks for comments all.
Excellent stuff Pieter, havent visited Eindhoven in ages, a great airport.
Who operates the Fokker 50F?
Ahh those pesky humans getting in on shots:dev2: you should shout them to shift out the way:D , can only tell you where to get off!!!, i shot a Messerchmitt ME109 on friday, the pilot and co were milling around, i asked them if they minded moving and they kindly obliged:)
Excellent stuff Paul.
And good dedication to the cause!!!
Whats with the Monarch?? new c/s, back from a lease??
Ahhhh… My local… I haven’t even seen the A310 yet and I live here! Not fair! :p

LOL i got very lucky with that,Arrived at the airport, went immediately to that awesome fish and chip shop just up from the GAT for dinner drove to the GAT ate my fish, this landed, shot it, and headed straight back to the M1:D 6 minutes spent in total at LBA!! unfortunate light mind you, but, worth the long wander off the M1.
I believe they are pulling out of LBA??
After Heathrow, a trip to luton to catch the last few rays:

Manchester on thursday night on way back down to the big smoke
Where i discovered a HUGE chip on the INSIDE of my Bigma lens, luckily, for now i can see no evidence on the shots, but, i am fearing taking the lens in for repair!!!

Spent some time at Heathrow again on friday morning but, quite nasty weather, so, wont bother with the shots i took.
Next a visit to White Waltham, where i was lucky enough to see a ME109 replica head out on a sortie.
Shots can be found at:

And that concludes the contents of the CF card.
Cheers for looking if you got this far.

A drop in to Leeds Bradford just in time for a Shaheen A310:

A couple of distant ramp shots on a swing past Cambridge:

Heathrow later in the afternoon:

Final lot to follow……………
