I flew on a Cebu Pacific one sitting at the front centre overwing exit.

(been having a disagreement with a viewer of the above link who argues blind it is not an A319)
Also noted Air Bangkok have them.

hope its not too late for you Jason
The “field” for 09L is located on Stanwell Moor Road just before Longford roundabout( junction of stanwell Moor Road and the A4 Bath Road) no idea of public transport, but, if you tell a taxi driver to take you to the above you’ll be set. (BTW this is essentially in the middle of nowhere.. no shops/petrol stations etc.. within decent walking distance… so take yer pieces and drink… and maybe a potty too:o )
I’ve not yet ventured into T5 yet, but, watching it getting built, there looks like a ramp going up to what i guess is departure level, this ramp looks an awesome place for shooting 09L as you are on eye level with a lump captain!!.. don’t know if security would allow anyone hanging around on it tho…???
FYI for shooting at the field you will need a smaller lens, as you are very close to the aircraft on final.
Just as an aside…. i tend not to bother with that area..just find it too close!, a great place to shoot stuff i find is in Poyle. which is basically a big set of industrial estates, to the right of 09L finals, with loads of places offering great shooting spots, Poyle Road,Mathiesen way,Colndale road all good places. Always see lots of photographers skulking around various nooks and crannies round this way, seems quite popular.
    Hope this helps.

Absolutely Luv this band, they are so tight… what an utterly AWESOME drummer that guy is:diablo: :diablo:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TwzHTPgDTk
(oh, I’M the drummer BTW… hehe, this was sneakily shot at my new bands very first gig a few weeks ago.)
Ren Frew: Allen, you may recognise the lummock *ahem* “singing”

On a bit more serious note, the below is my all time favourite you tube video, this guy is an outstanding drummer (for real this time) this was shot when he was 12 years old, and miles ahead of drummers playing for decades.

Excellent stuff,Paul. I believe she is doing flights out of Edinburgh in June too, £100 for a 30 minute jolly… quite fancy it.
I wonder if you were onboard her yesterday? at about 10am as i was waiting in an industrial estate in Mansfield i spied a DC3 heading sort of north eastish about 3000feet.

    Adam:
First thing to do is BEFORE connecting the ipod open up Itunes, click on “Edit” on the top, then click “preferences“, a new box opens up… the far right tab (should be) “syncing” open this tab up, and TICK the box that says “disable automatic syncing…..” now that will stop the ipod being wiped when you connect it.
Now you go to …: http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod and download Sharepod…follow the instructions on the page.(i think it is a free program), once you have installed it on your ipod, you can transfer anything from the ipod to your PC with ease. (you cannot run itunes the same time as sharepod, sharepod just won’t work) you’ll see your ipod as a new drive in “my computer” any time you connect it.
Don’t worry about the battery dying, the ipods contents will still be there.
    Hope this helps.
P.S. if you are having some difficulties with sharepod opening in the form of it trying to load programs like a webcam program ?!? (for some reason it does this on mine…. no idea why) just cancel the other progs from starting… this glitch may just be some sort of conflict unique to my PC.. i really don’t know, but, i just cancel it (time after time!!!) and sharepod opens up.
BTW with sharepod you can plug your ipod into any PC and transfer files.

James: Hi mate, I think “TMRA” does a mail flight along with a couple of others. Am guessing the RAF Avia does do mail flights there were also 2 RAF Avia AN12’s in also.

    Excellent stuff,Paul
Not sure if you meant you were the “official photographer”, extra well done if so…. takes a hell of a lot of bottle to shoot what is essentially (meant to be:diablo: )the happiest day in a couples life. Those shots are fabulous so no worries on that score… i got asked to do a mates wedding once, absolutely no way… i was’nt up for having the onus of “once in a lifetime” type shots on my shoulder…. nowhere near that level of photography.
    Hats off to you sir.
