Well, i don’t play any instruments… but i am a drummer!!!:diablo:
Been playing for about 20 years, started off as a roadie for various touring bands, then became a drum tech for a band, eventually joining bands myself. Done the “let’s get famous” bit for a few years, then a bit of depping in cabaret bands, then discovered the joy of playing covers—ROCK covers,Being a bit of a die hard rawk fan (the guys in the band call me “Thunderbucket”….. i play a wee bit loud and heavy:cool:) Due to work commitments i have to be flexible about playing, so, doing the covers circuit is great, only just last week had my first gigs with my new band “CHARGER” in Glasgow, after 8 months of rehearsing… went great, next gig is in Dunoon in may, looking forward to that. It had been nearly 2 years since i last gigged.
My music of choice is Classic Rock, huge Status Quo and Rush fan, not too keen on boy rock bands about just now…. no creativity! A bit of an old headbanger really, outside of Hard Rock i love Simple Minds (Mel Gaynor… outstanding drummer!)
Like some blooz, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Albert Collins etc…

Cheers Tom.
Being a saddo that keeps track…. last year i covered just over 74,000 miles in the van of doom:dev2:
Thanks lads 🙂
Andrew: Not sure if the UK International flies or not, IIRC it was sitting in the same spot my last visit to NEMA last year!!.
After a wee bit of checking the Spanair is indeed ex BMI c/n 1407 ex G-MIDU del’d ex EMA 12th April.
I like it!! Was wondering when they were going to get around to finishing it off.
Whats the story here though? I notice its still got Loganair on the nose… on lease or is loganair now part of the Flybe group?
FlyBe have taken over the franchise that Loganair had with BA, the aircraft are operated by Loganair, just as before.
Some more…
Heathrow at Dusk 31/3:

Prestwick 5/4:
Then a jaunt up to Aberdeen in the afternoon:

A quick look in to Edinburgh 9/4:
G-PLAJ getting tinkered with…..

Finally a quick hour floating about Nottingham Derby Mansfield Leicester East Midlands Airport on friday:

And thats all folks!!!
😮 NASTY!!!! (Not the shot,Kev) that is the worst scheme ever seen on a Saab 340… Did the guys in the paint shop only have a wee pair of stepladders?:diablo: Also the “Flybe” title!!?!? Whats going on with that? are they maybe going to paint the rest on the window blinds?
Back to the drawing board with that one FlyBe!
(Mind you… the website addy on the engine, and “operated by Loganair” oh and Reg, look ok)
Very nice Marky boy.
Taken with the phone cam??
Good job (Just like yer team tonight:mad: 😡 )
Hmm Glad everyone is ok, but, i would’nt (IMO) think it worthy of a posting, these events happen daily all over the world, a non-event (except to journalists… then it becomes “terror at 95,000ft as severely crippled airplane makes emergency landing at airport causing 5000 flights to divert and 100 million passengers left stranded” 😮 ) only my opinion of course, read the article expecting to hear of great tragedy.

The A380 on the 8th was 9V-SKA.
Credit to Andy McGregor on the LHR Spotters group.
Definitely the 777-200.. all the other “wimps” need winglets to fly:dev2: 🙂 :dev2: :dev2: (and it has a far superior cup indent on the seatback tray in economy)
I was wondering where the ATR was also:confused:
Sam: FYI Atlas Air’s callsign is “Giant” their flight codes are 5Y and GTI.
Not bad shots BTW.
Thanks James and DJ.
Should’nt really divulge where the “stamina” comes from on a public forum :diablo: :diablo: :diablo: :dev2:
(Only jesting………honestly!)
Excellent DJ.
As usual your night shots are awesome. and the Antonov is great
Just wondering how tall are your ladders for shot no. 9 ??:diablo:
