Very interesting c/s
The fuselage is exactly the 2 shades of blue cheatline that Eastern Airlines had on their 747’s. Dunno if any of these old beasties had been stored in the desert?
looks like a -100 going by the engines, and there is something strange beside the number 1 (number 4??) engine.
Might be worth checking out ACARS or SBS logs for your area
Bigger news than that here…. They must be building a new cross runway to the west :diablo: (KLM taking off on RW36)They should build the new runway to the east(make for great shots:D )
Oh, good idea to hangar the toothpick (not so good for getting shots of her though) as long as the munchies stall and toilets don’t get moved for it :diablo: (mmm sausages!!)
Just thinking, with all this space being taken up… where will they put the 1-11 that is supposed to be going to the AVP??
Thanks James.
I believe all 3 are seperate airlines. You are correct about CHC they have lots of regional variations (Australia,Norway,Ireland,Canada etc…) but are a Canadian parent company.
Just got the shot of their first EC225 onto JP.net within 60 seconds of uploading! woohoo:D 😀 a new record.
Ach ok… i’ll do it………..
“LA.. The rest of the world’s favourite airline”
or
“LA”… we used to fly to Britain once… too”
(Can anyone guess what the “L” stands for??? hmmm??:D :diablo: :dev2: )
Sorry Allen. a good post… could’nt resist.
I’ll get me coat!:)
Well, i never wanted to name names, but, you guess correctly.

Nice stuff Damian.
I thought the DC10 was away, i shot it on thursday night in poor light. Knew about the AN12, but thought it would be in standard bland white scheme 😡 my miss.
good work.
Oh dear, yet more attacks on B.A….Ooooppss, London Airways.
Do the previous posters believe that B.A. should operate out of other regional airports such as Inverness, Leeds/Bradford, Liverpool etc etc…..???? well they used to operate from many regional airports but made cuts to save itself from massive losses.
British Airways is British Airways, always will be and will never be London Airways, the fact that B.A. no longer operate from most regional airports is not a reason to call it London Airways. I suggest you dig out some 1970s and 80s timetables where you will see how many regional airports B.A. used to operate from.

Yes B(ritish..not London)A should operate from regional airports, they CLAIM to be the national carrier for Britain.. NOT just London… You serve to highlight how much an embarrasment they really are, if you have to go back 20-30 years in timetables to see when they were a national airline.
Not suggesting they serve places like Dingwall,Cambridge,Blackpool etc.. to Europe or god forbid further, but, they pulled many many lucrative routes from major cities simply because they wanted to streamline everything thru London, for example, at my local Glasgow, the 4th biggest city in the UK, has ZERO flights that use the callsign Speedbird, not one BA flight leaves the UK,in fact only 3 routes leave Scotland… all to… wait for it….. LONDON! the end result of pulling out of the regions, foreign airlines grabbed the market with inflated prices.
BA are NOT and apparently never will be again, a national airline for the UK!
(at least not the small bit that is outwith the M25)
Hmmm Call me mental, but, maybe BRITISH Airways should run some international services from …oh.. i dunno… BRITAIN!!!, for a “national” airline that has international services from what,3 airports in the UK, ZERO from Scotland, i suspect the same dizzying amount from Wales and N.I. This mob can barely sink to any lower depths, but, surprise surprise… they find a way.
Only problem now being they may not be worthy of the name “London Airways” anymore! 😡
Cheers for the comment FL. I wonder if that is a photobucket thing?, the originals on my HD seem fine.
