Demonstrators and in-development aircraft are not allowed to fly in any air-show. Only demonstrators of the home-country are allowed, because its own plots are involved in testing.

I have been attending airshows in the UK for the past 30 years and more.

… really bloody expensive for us non MAN folk who would visit it and stay the day.

There’s no reduction for Mancs, you know! 🙂

Also the viewing balcony at the control tower (free) is excellent, they have the occasional flyin see http://www.cityairportltd.com it beats the runway viewing park every day…

It’s a bit of a let-down when it comes to photographing airliners and biz jets, though. :p

At the end of the day it’s their site, so I suppose they have the final say on what is and isn’t acceptable.

Still, all’s well that ends well.

It does seem more than a bit OTT, though.

According to the CAA website, the aircraft in the picture is registered to two gentlemen from Orpington.

interesting, whats the reason for its return before the public days?

It’s fairly commonplace for aircraft to only remain at Farnborough for the Trade Days.

I suspect that the reason for this is that The Great Unwashed seldom buy aeroplanes. 😎
