In my experience, it’s not the people who talk to God that you need to worry about.
Worry about the ones who claim that he talks back to them.
In a nutshell, Stuart H, this.

Uhh…People who knew him…dined with him?
Albert Speer, for instance, mentioned Hitler’s enjoyment of non-vegetarian foods like Bavarian sausages, ham, liver, and game.
I think we can safely assume that Speer shared the occasional bag of cheese and onion with his mate Adolf.
Also it is a matter of historical record that Hitler’s regime banned German vegetarian associations. Hardly the act of an authoritarian dictatorship led by a committed veggie, is it?
The rest of your posting is a bit of a rant, and we’re straying badly off-topic.
If the OP had wanted to talk about Hitler, they would have mentioned him in their posting.
Now, it’s breakfast time and there are some kippers in the fridge with my name on them. 🙂

There seems to be some debate (about Hitler, not your wife), perhaps some revisionist history fostered by modern vegetarians who don’t want to be associated with him?
I invite you to consider the meaning of the phrase “contemporary documentary sources”.
And Wikipedia? Please!
I’m calling “Godwin” on you, by the way. :p

Isn’t that contrary to UK and EU policies?😀
No. Next question?
PS. Remind your smug vegetarian friends that Hitler was a vegetarian.
My wife is a vegetarian, but Hitler wasn’t.
He was rather partial to duck, in fact, and contemporary documentary sources such as diary entries from his inner circle describe him eating ham, sausages, turtle soup, caviar, etc etc.

It appears to be a US tradition.
One that doesn’t survive the journey across the Atlantic very well, IMHO.
