All I’ll say is that one of Jim’s ‘Interesting Facts About Grey Area’ is very nearly true.

Jim, we’re all descended from immigrants. Some people like to pretend otherwise, but that won’t change the facts.

The Angles and Saxons were immigrants and invaders at one time, you know, as were the Celts. Not to mention the Vikings, Normans, Jutes, Romans, etc, etc.

In the case of these islands the ‘native population’ disappeared into the gene pool centuries, arguably millennia, ago.

Everyone’s a descendant of immigrants.

However, there’s a huge difference between a healthy, steady flow of people, and the stampede of immigrants we’ve had over the last few years.

The last thing we need now are a few hundred thousand more arriving.

I’m quite sure the ghost of Sitting Bull would agree whole-heartedly.
