I’m just having a go at the bods for wasting our taxpayer’s money, sir, I know well that the earth is in an interglacial period and is warming up:diablo:
You don’t know anything of the sort.
That’s what you prefer to believe.
Where is the warming? A couple of trains just got stuck in the Tunnel because of the cold!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8422369.stm
And this is the result of the conference(excuses for failure) :
UN says Copenhagen deal ‘a start’ (BBC News)and on the same page :
Snowstorm blankets US East Coast
A deadly snowstorm has hit the eastern United States with snowfalls of up to 12in (30cm) in some areas.
Oh blimey! Talk about clutching at straws!
Look, when scientists refer to ‘global warming’, they are talking about a very slow (but inexorable) rise in average global temperatures.
That doesn’t mean that it will be warm and sunny everywhere all the year round.
Higher average temperatures lead to a higher rate of evaporation of seawater.
More evaporation means more clouds.
More clouds means more precipitation.
In the winter, some of that precipitation falls as snow in places that are far enough from the Equator and in the right hemisphere.
Simples.

Cheers Matey!
BTW, what language is your footnote and what does it say?
It is a Celtic curse, translated roughly as “May the cat eat you, and may the Devil eat the cat.”

Many Happy Returns, amigo. 🙂

Maybe someone at Boeing has a long memory. 😎

I could mention the plethora of problems, both engineering and management wise the A380 suffered as well as it’s rescheduled first flight date that you conveniently left out on your list…
You probably could.
But not in this thread.
Keep it on-topic please, chaps.
Thanks

G-OHMS… Brilliant registration for an electric company heli!
I understand it met with some resistance at first.
Good stuff, Rob. 🙂
Isn’t that our prime minister?
Paul
Although their vari-national owners may like to pretend otherwise, the British tabloid press does not constitute “the whole of Europe”.
LIke him or loathe him, no-one can deny that Mr O’Leary has excelled at the job he is paid to do.
Behave yourselves!!! :diablo:
You know, I’ve been reading a lot of press released on the 787 and one thing is missing: Any comment from Airbus.
So what? When the Apple Snow Leopard operating system was released recently, there wasn’t so much as a peep about it from Microsoft.
Like PMN, I think you’re reading far too much into things.
….and it visited LHR yesterday. 🙂
You have to give the Airbus fans a little slack. The A380, their so called revolutionary aircraft, has been unanimously nicknamed Whalejet.
They’re known as ‘Hippos’ round my neck of the woods. I’ve never heard them called ‘Whalejets’.
All this Boeing vs Airbus fanboi stuff does become very tedious indeed after a while, you know.
