I think if I were on holiday, I’d be somewhere warmer and sunnier than Manchester!

And if I hadn’t just shelled out for my daughter’s 18th, then I would be somewhere warmer and sunnier. 😮

I don’t think that the aircaft was unattended at all – since the cabin lights were on I think that it was, in fact, being prepped for service.

Aircraft parked up overnight do not have their internal lights left on, do they?

Not so, danairboy. The Manchester service is operated by A319s.

Alitalia did use Emb170s (doubled up with Emb145 on Saturdays) on the route throughout the month of August while the A319s were needed elsewhere during the traditional peak Italian holiday month, but the route has now reverted to A319s.

It was LH480 on a medical diversion, tenthije.

I posted some more pictures of it earlier today.

Having said that, we do get the occasional LH A300 on our scheduled routes, especially Frankfurt and Munich.
