Since the battery has to be changed by the manufacturers (or by their appointed service agents) I presume that the information and settings would be backed up and restored once the new battery is in place.
The i-Pod is a nice piece of kit.
Not so nice when you find out how much it’ll cost you to have the internal battery replaced when it runs out, though……… 😮 😮 😮
It took me quite a while to open them, as well.
Maybe you should think about reducing their size, Tooms1, so that dial-up users will at least have a sporting chance of seeing them. 🙂
Apparently the source for this rumour is a quite senior manager within BA itself, Matthew.
Clearly I’m in no position to verify this, but no-one has yet refuted it either.
Why would EZY buy the A380?
Damned if I know, but it looks very much as though BA are going to!
No, no, Flood.
You’ve got it all wrong. Clearly Kuwait brought the Iraqi invasion on itself by being a flagrantly independant country in the proximity of a larger and more powerful neighbour. As clear a case of contributory negligence as you are ever likely to see.
Fancy not realising a simple fact like that after all the trouble that plawolf has gone to educating us, explaining all those big difficult words to us and the like.
Why, you’ll be saying that the Spratleys and Paracels aren’t part of the Peoples’ Republic Of China next – you wicked revisionist, you! 😮
Now, that’s sarcasm…………..
its just that your questions are too simple and your ‘jabs’ are a little off the mark.
Right…right…whatever you say, plawolf. Mind you, you could try answering one of them instead of emabarking on a critique of the questions themselves as a diversionary tactic.
BTW – what’s Mandarin for “smug git”? 😎
i dont know what you learnt in that modern history MA
I learned to beware of people who believe they have all of the answers, plawolf……… 😀
‘suspision’ is based largely on a misunderstanding of what all the big names truely represent.
Actually, the MA in Politics and Modern History helped a little bit as well.
But thank you for explaining what all those big, hard, words mean to this unfortunate gweilu nevertheless.
The PRC is ruled by an undemocratic and repressive regime – you can play semantics and twist words until Hell freezes over, but that fact remains.
Just name one, plawolf.
Surely it can’t be that hard? 😀
all of these parties are independent, they dont take orders from the CCP. they are merely regulated by the chinese government
Right – they’re not controlled, merely regulated. Care to explain the difference between the CCP and the Chinese government?
the same as all political parties all around the world are regulated by their different governments
Nonsense – this simply is not the case! Clearly your knowledge of how democracy works in the world at large is imperfect.
these parties are all fully independent. it just that since there are no general elections in china, these parties will not get any sort of real power in the forseeable future, so their existance is irrelevent.
So, you admit that the PRC is an undemocratic one-party state, then?
i have no problem with people finding and pointing out real faults within the chinese government or any aspect of china. what i cant stand is people criticies china because they ‘think’ that so and so is the case, when it isnt in reality.
OK – you still haven’t named a single independant (IE – NOT AN AFFILIATE OF THE CCP) political party that is allowed to operate within the PRC. This, of course, is because no such thing exists.
If I’m wrong, prove it. Not by making lofty and airy assertions, or by posting more photographs of half-naked men, but by simply naming just one such party.
Just one……
I have no time for propaganda – these are all affiliates of the ruling party.
Name me one – just one – independant political party that is allowed to operate within the PRC. Not Hong Kong – the PRC proper.
Just one.
regardless, there are many different politcial parties even with the PRC itself. however the form of government of the PRC means they arent much of an ‘opposition’.
Great!!
Humour an ignorant laowai and name one, then.
nor is chinese rule communist rule in any sense of the term and of the steriotypes associated with it.
I, for one, am very glad to hear this.
Perhaps shih plawolf will now oblige us all by naming just a few of the opposition political parties that are allowed to exist in the PRC?
empty name calling is the sign of a person who has nothing to back up his claims
Belittling those who disagree with your world-view is the sign of an insecure person. 😎
Your move…………. 😀
