Indeed it has no face value unlike genuine tributes like postage stamps and Royal Mint coins which have face value and are sold at that value. This is just cashing in to make a mint of money.

Surely it would only be a tribute if the RAFBF received ALL profits and they stated how much that would be.

It’s like those poppy broaches the likes of M&S were selling we asked how much did the BL get and they didn’t know. Eventually found out it was a pitance.

The golden rule is if you want to give money to a charity give it direct to the charity but NEVER to street collectors.

You just come across as ‘I am right’ – ‘anybody who disagrees is wrong’…. simples ; )

No I interpreted as a dry joke hence my reply, and I would suggest I am right, I do Know Charlies sense of humour. Anything else is just a bit too touchy.:D

    Moggy how about

12 No stepladders or other elevating devices, no wind breaks, no gazebos, no sun/rain umbrellas, no tents or marquees, no picnic tables, no picnic tables combined with bench seats, no blankets larger than the number of people sitting on them, no BBQs, no tall head apparel, no children on adult shoulders and no elderly mother in law dozing the day away on the front row.

Charlie your humour is just too dry. 😀 We all know you use an hearing trumpet anyway, they’re highly directional.

Today at the Midland Air Museum we arrived to find a coach in the car park!!!! The dreaded school trip. We were dismayed as no doubt they would be in the hanger.

They turned out to be about 7 or 8 years old and I have to eat my words, they were very well behaved and interested in the display and made intelligent answers to questions. They were being kept well under control, strict wasn’t necessary, by their teachers. As I have said praise where praise is due so we told the teacher how well behaved and interested they were and how very refreshing this was.
It turned out they were from the school Frank Whittle attended so they had a connection.

Perhaps there is hope for the future but unfortunately the teacher did not know what a roundel was and that it wasn’t a target, targets, as we all know are black crosses.

Just found this comment on the VTTS Facebook site

Was lovely seeing the Vulcan yesterday at Coventry, it’s so nice seeing her in the air. I have to say though the de haviland dove giving pleasure flights did a more energetic display. I like most people were very disappointed. That will likely be the last memory I have of seeing the Vulcan and it was a let down. I appreciate the work everyone has put in to actually getting it in the air in the first place but people like me and my dad who have helped fund it from the beginning and made a special journey of hours to see it for about 10 minutes barely got anything back.

XH558 is restricted to less angle of bank and climbs (at present), when flying over land-based displays. Travel to Southport this coming weekend to see a more dynamic display over the sea. As it is, her crews are all doing the right thing and adhering to the post-Shoreham CAA regulations.

Maybe we should have likes and dislikes on the forum?

I am not into Twitter or Facebook but if you want up to date info they are an evil necessity.

I have not seen any news on the disappearing fuel no doubt that will appear in the engineering report.

Twitter seems to be having problems.

You can return it under the distance trading regulations. Advertising Agency Standards for misrepresentation. For trading standards as the customer should not be mislead or confused by advertising or the product and also must be of merchantable quality.

You should order large numbers and then just return them.

You put it on the wall with the three flying ducks or on the mantle piece next to the fish gnome.

Photos and models I can understand but not plates and coins.

Think I will now retire to a safe distance.

Wings I have been giving it some thought and based on my definition I would not call myself a pleb. But no doubt the taller guy on my right looking down on me will think I am.

Thank you trumper and TA. I do get over excited at times and can suffer from verbal diarrhoea but I thought that this was a special occasion as VTTS had not issued a flight plan for this event.

Indeed Charlie. I think this is the project that needs our financial support.
