Lovely photos! I stopped at the 109G and was wondering what the funny looking mark was on the spinner? For a second I thought it was damage but it looks like it’s part of the paintwork?
Thanks. I see what you mean about the spinner but cannot make out what it is. If nobody comes up with the answer I will try to get a better shot tomorrow.
No reason not to put your best shot here and link to it though. :eagerness:

A large number of aeroplanes arrived today including a significant number of, now what is the name of that aeroplane, ah yes Spitfires. No hens teeth though, Hurricanes.
Large number of spectators with parking spilling onto the grass inside the grounds.
Many practice displays but like has been said, if you come for nothing else come to see the three Buchons, absolutely breathtaking. We need a Spitfire display team to take them on.
I did edit my post to reflect that it may have passed over the viewing area down by ARCo after seeing SimonR’s photo – I didn’t have an airband radio stuck in my ear so didn’t hear the direction, but as I say it was defo over the taxiway as it passed ATC…
Sorry you didn’t believe me and needed proof. I didn’t see your edit as I was busy with my pics.
Playground, viewing area or is it the crowd line? Er it’s the crowd line. May? I wasn’t disputing it was over the taxiway where ever you were. It did fly over the crowd line no may about it. I do not need a radio to tell me when an aeroplane flies directly above my head I was just explaining to you why by the time it got to your position it was over where ever you said it was I couldn’t see that just as you couldn’t see what happened at the other end of the crowd line, allegedly. 😀
Moving on…..
We love the hardware but it is the software that we need to thank for demonstrating these aeroplanes so skilfully.
MANY THANKS we salute you all.
Just a few of the faces today

From where I was stood (Classic Wings gate) it looked to be more along the taxiway than over anyone…
Hmmm I am not actually one for exaggerating
You can see which hangar this is

I was standing about 15 feet behind the spectator line at the ARC end

As I said he was told by control not to over fly museum buildings hence his turn to port.
Personally I think the pilot was just getting his own back having heard the quip made by another pilot.
When the JU52 reported he was east of Cambridge and control asked how long before he would arrive another pilot popped up and said “about an hour”. :D:D
I wondered how long it would take to do that. I wonder what agreement has been reached with the owners then and whether that is good or bad for Manston long term.
WINNER: Best Legends Arrival Fly Past – Ju52 low and slow along the crowd line. 😮 😀
Err actually over the crowd which prompted instructions from the tower not to fly over the museum buildings.

Bet Mrs Goag wishes she had kept Manston open the period she said she would. If this does come in it would have been much easier for her.
Hopefully the CPO is proceeding although it does seem to have gone quiet.
Let’s hope this will be too late for Mrs Gloag. But if she had kept Manston open for the promised period this may have made her day.
All airfields, canals and railway land should be ring fenced against development that would mean that their original use could not be reinstated when needed.
Always happy to meet fellow forumites and put faces to names. I’ll be the one with the camera so should be easy to spot.
Many thanks for posting MM, another one for the bucket list.
A few from the late afternoon, beautiful day, plenty of activity, no little ‘orrors, no crowds and good company.
