Finally realising that my marriage is over.

And I thought that our love for each other could overcome any problems we might have had.

Being told by everyone you will get over it in time and there are plenty more fish in the sea.

And people who tell me to take my wife to court over the debt I have been left to pay which I had no idea about.

I suppose I am not the first and I will not be the last.

And finally knowing that our 13 years of being together and 6 years married meant so little to her.

All of the above made me swear today. Today is a very bad day.

BTW we have been seperated for only 2 months but it feels like an eternity.

Signing off threads

Exactly what it says in the title. Mods feel free to move this to the general dicussion area if it is warranted but as most of the signing off is happening here in historic I thought I would start it here.

Just my tuppence but some time ago I made an exit from posting much on the fora as I didn’t like the way the forum was going. There were more argumentative and counter productive threads going on than actually helping people therefore I decided I would read threads and then post on the ones I felt strongly enough about or where I could provide helpful information to those seeking it.

Recently I have been postings on a few threads just for fun again.

But with that here is what I think about signing off.

I believe that signing off is down to each individuals preference and they should do what they feel comfortable with and not what each member thinks they should do. If they feel strongly about a topic that they need to express their feelings on the matter then that is fine but should consider that other peoples views on their departure might not be to their liking.

With this said other readers should also respect the views of the departing member and just let them leave without any more song or dance.

One other thing is why dont we just have a signing off page or it could be the signing off for good or holiday page or any other kind of departure.

This would mean merged threads into one thread without the need for a dozen pages for their departures and you could also see at a glance who had gone or was going.

Gentlemen and some Ladies your views please.

Not to everyones taste Steve but if you are a Swayze fan then you love most of his films. I certainly enjoy all of the above

just feeling old and miserable because everyone I care about is suffering in one way or another,and there ain’t a damn thing I can do about it ).

Bumblebee I know exactly how that feels right at this minute. My marriage of 6 years and 13 years together ended last friday and everything I knew has changed so we are all suffering. Also I have a new American girlfriend who is suffering too. She has cancer and a serious heart condition and we dont know how long she will last. And just in case you are wondering no she isnt the reason me and my wife split up.

Not an easy time for anyone.

Killing an animal in the circumstances described in this thread is a completely inexcusable act, but it is NOT murder.

I suspect you are entirely correct on this matter but What would the killing or slaying of an innocent animal be termed as then. Murder is certainly a very good way and describing it as. Anyone any ideas.

The only reason I mentioned the Vulcan because there is unlimited amount pumped into it, and I personally (sorry my personal opinion) think that it would be better spent on more practical/worthwhile causes like Sally B (that was my link). Long -term Sally B is the more important and more practical aircraft to support.

Well I am glad that you dont talk for all of us. I am sorry that Sally B is having so much trouble but I would not change the way things have went for the Vulcan.

As we keep reminding ourselves usually when talking about Legends and TFC. We must remember that these aircraft are someone elses train set and that we must be grateful that they have brought them out to play.

Sally B on one hand is loved beyond belief and I am sure it is this love (and a wad of cash) that keeps her going and she will fly again I am sure of it.

The Vulcan on the other hand is loved as much as Sally and the public keep getting asked to help her out with cash. They manage it every time so far. Well done stop moaning about it. It is done,History,past tense. Nothing we can do now will stop the Vulcan flying the cash has been thrown at it we cannot get it back nor would I want to. none or very little of the cash that the Vulcan has would have ever reach Sally B simply because of the way the 2 aircraft are marketed. Totally different in every respect.

Personally I love them both and may the both share many happy skies together.
