I’m sorry but Laura was the only one on their who I seen with perfect vocal use and brilliant potential, she is better than loads of them on there and I am furious that Daniel is in and he’s only in becuase a sympathy vote – he is cr*p! 😡 – Loads of them are not as good as Laura, the only ones left with talent that will be great in the public are Alexandra, Diana and JLS.
Take a minute to think about what weekend this is and indeed what week this is. Cant you think of something else other than this tripe to post about.
To put it simply I dont give a monkeys.
Sorry if this seems harsh putting this on your particular post but it would apply to many many posts on this forum unfortunately I happend to pick on yours.
Rant over.
Thank you.
If you havent already try and unistall CFS and then Reinstall.

I have just scanned through the pages of the Beaufighter crash log and unless I have missed them there is no mention of JL520 or JL120.
Sorry.
Maybe one of the guys on here knows more.

But due to stringent CAA regulations they were not able to. Lets flame the CAA
Lets just remember one thing though. The CAA rules are there for a reason and that is why they were made.
It could well be one of the major reasons the Vulcan can fly is that it is under VFR and possibly another reason it got lottery money as well.
Lets not forget who would be the first to moan about losing the Vulcan if it had displayed yesterday and something had went wrong.
I liked the second taxi from the west end of the runway when the vulc saw air beneath all of its tyres for just a split second.
Well done to all of the Leuchars and associated staff for trying to bring us a display and if there is one thing you cant account for its the weather.
Just get the CO told to order the right kind of weather for next year or there may be trouble 🙂

Hi Guys
anyone know when it’s on again.
I missed the second half as I had fallen asleep. Not because it was boring or anything like that I had just been down at East Fortune all day looking round their collection.
Or anyone have a copy I can borrow.
I would very much like to see the rest of the programme.
right up my street.
just finished reading Vulcan 607 and what a good book it was too but just gives you an idea of how close a run thing the bombing of the airfield really was but the question is how many more times could they have bombed the Falklands if the rest of the attack force became incapacitated to some degree. Or would the Argentine airforce have been more able to seek out and shoot down the Victors and Vulcans.
Incidentally and nothing to do with aviation but while I was in the army our Corporal that was in charge of us Juniors was in 2 Para before he moved onto the RCT. I suppose there is kind of a link to aviation really as the base we were on was part of RAF Colerne or at least the old RAF Colerne.
As far as I am aware though others may correct me.
Part of the reason the flyins are for members only now is that the influx to the airfield was rather large and that safety factors started to arise also the insurance cost for the aircraft etc etc.
Statement from the Real Aeroplane Company
Breighton Airfield – Public Access
In an address made during the AGM it was stated that the new change in policy regarding public access to the airfield is now total which regrettably means that members of the general public will no longer be allowed to attend the popular fly-in events and airshows held there.
“As a small organisation operating an airfield with very limited space and infrastructure, not to mention ever increasing visitor numbers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to implement the necessary public safety regulations which, coupled with rising insurance costs, has led to this regrettable conclusion. In short, we have become victims of increased legislation and, ironically, victims of our own success.”
This summer’s planned series of fly-in events will only now be open to visiting aircraft, Real Aeroplane Club members, their families and close friends.
The Company is painfully aware that this will be very disappointing news to many, especially those who make regular treks to the fly-in’s. The suggestion being made here is that they take up Museum Club membership which allows access to the airfield throughout the year for just £XX per year.
Pre-arranged group visits may still be possible at certain times at the discretion of the management, and staff/volunteers will of course endeavor to accommodate visits by former RAF Breighton personnel where possible.
The Real Aeroplane Company are keen to stress that their aircraft restoration work and aircraft collection remain unaffected (see other news stories) and that the airfield itself will continue to function as normal, remaining open to visiting aircraft and their crews seven days a week.
So there you have it. I have ommited the price as the forum rules may forbid any such advertisement but you can look at their website for that.
Basically pay membership and get access to the airfield all year round. So the PUBLIC airshow is NOT on.
When I was really young I was taken to Strathallen and remember only that we walked through an aircraft. In at the back and out through the front. They also had dummies in uniform to make the cockpit look full. My mother thought they were real and we going to take off. That caused her to panic a bit. Total panic merchant my mum.
I have East Fortune down the road from me so have seen it change dramatically over the years and also Drem which I have visited many times to see the old buildings. Macmerry was very close by when I was growing up so we used to take walks along the old peritrack when you could still see it and when the new A1 bypass wasnt there.
A few years ago now I bought Wing Leader by Johnnie Johnston for 20p out a steptoe type yard and loved it. It really fired my passion for aviation. Obviously I was out going to airfields and airshows for years but it was that book that changed my outlook on aviation. Well that and being invited along to a Halifax wreck site memorial where I met my mate and got deeper into the whole research side of things.
I also fly model aircraft and build airfix typed kits (badly) and airshow photography (1 in every couple of dozen photos is a good one.
Now I just love all thing aviation especially the pioneers of flight and warbirds.
Though the man has gone yet will he live on for generations through his books.
fly high fly swift.
you have probably seen these already but just did a quick serch of the Flight Global archive and found lots of info but included this http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1942/1942%20-%201243.html?search=Hampden
I can see we have the PC and Health and Stupidity team in tonight.
I am only going to mention one name.
Bob Hoover
Now go google it, you tube it or whatever search you like and learn something.
I expect it was all within the scope of the show.
similar comments about other pilots in the past have started serious goings on before. Please lets not do the same again here.
Hi XH668,
if you really are serious then there are a few things to consider.
is it a static model ie not going to fly or is it a flying model.
If it is going to be the later then you need to get in contact with the LMA as they are the body that approves the aircraft on behalf of the CAA.
there are many procedures to follow and quite a few stages to go through before you even get close to completion.
Not trying to put you off at all but someone has to tell you the boring stuff.
have a look on the LMA website and that should tell you all you need to know about the boring stuff.
What kind of size were you thinking off and why the mk1.
