The comments below taken from a google search. Maybe only someone really local would know the precise site but may not know which aircraft it is.
The precise site of this crash has been called into question. Operational Records say, ..reported to be near to Wallington. Battle of Britain, Then and Now says, ‘The Oaks’ Coulsdon as quoted here. It has also been suggested that it might be ‘Oaks Park’ Woodmansterne. Or, Leaves Green near Biggin Hill. N.B. The truth may never be known.

JB Weld do a good range of adhesives there might be something off the shelf for exactly this type of job.

Moggy,
While I had some Aden cannon rounds in my collection I approach the Police to obtain a licence to hold ammunition and was promptly told that I didnt need a licence to hold ammunition alone. So unless the rules have changed?

How nice does this look.
Good Job.
Adrian,
I am guessing that your Flintlock was loaded with black powder and without ball or shot?
I am no arms expert but I though you would get little or no recoil from powder only as there is no projectile holding back the gas. It would just be a simple venting of the gas straight out.
If you had a projectile the escaping gas round the mouth of the barrel would create the recoil.
This is how I think of it but others may have a better or scientific way of explaining it.
Paul,
Please be patient with the RAF Museum.
We all get an allotted time frame in which they will get back to you and believe me they will get back to you in that time.
The research that I have asked them about recently all came back with very good information in the allocated time and at no cost to myself.
It is a very good service please don’t ruin that for others by being too pushy.
They will be trying their hardest for you but you are not the only one with a query for them. There are others.
In the mean time Flypast and other aviation forums are your best bet for any info.
PS
I really dont care for all the political bull.
I was just talking about fixing the “idol” and graves.

Kev,
You already know what my answer to Norway invading Aberdeenshire is.
They can have it as long as they stay there and keep all the sheep away from the locals.
But seriously there is no realism in that scenario.
But I do think that now the Falklands war is over, At least for some of us I think a move by the brits to replace / repair the damage woulndnt go amiss. Kind of says look it wasnt us who broke it but we dont mind fixing it. Shows a little respect for the war dead.
Brits in general do have a genuine respect for the dead and this isnt the kind of thing we do.
Like you Kev I share you thoughts and suspect that at least some of you thoughts are correct but just lets pay the lads that didnt make it some respect and get it fixed.

I find it appalling that any war graves are damaged no matter which country they are from.
It may not be so straight forward due to the political situation between our two countries at the moment.
But that aside I dont really care for the accusations from either side to be honest.
The question should be “How do we fix this together?”
