This was discussed on the forum before and if I remember correctly the Polish Battle-of-Britain pilots were specifically requested to be part of the victory parade but the pilots themselves wouldn’t attend unless all branches of the Polish forces were represented. When this was not allowed the Polish pilots boycotted the whole event in protest…

Thank you, Tangmere – that is a helpful abnd constructive response to my question. The level of enjoyment/appreciation of any programme is in direct proportion to the knowledge one has and in this case it seems to have been enjoyed more by those of us “less in the know”.

I echo your comments about the BoB programmes to come, and look forward to them – particularly those in which you have been involved.:)
