At least we know exactly where we stand with EGPH. What a lot of Irish Republican nonsense. At least he should be delighted that we sold out to the IRA in the Good Friday Agreement thanks to Blair, Mowlam and the rest.

That argument is irrelevant. It doesn’t really matter, like those who argued that we supported Saddam in the Iraq/Iran wars. It is in the nature of nations’ relationships with each other that your friend will one day become your enemy and probably your friend again. And so it has been for two millenia.
The only relevant position is who are your enemies and your friends at any given time. Think Stalin and WW2 and you’ll get the picture.

Me again! Stopped in a road of parked cars to allow car coming towards me to continue. The woman driver was unable to acknowledge as she had both hands off the steering wheel, one holding a phone to her ear and the other a cigarette!:mad::mad:

Totally agree. And that quotation is so apt. I think it has been similarly attributed to Churchill.
To, clarify as my post appears to agree with the post above, whereas it is Moggy’s post with which I totally agree.

But the Euro no-bail-out agrement prohibits state aids for Greece.
Greece has well known the Euro access surreptitious with faked economic data.
Therefore should Greece ruled out of the Eurozone and this a possible worst case scenario for Greece. The Greece debt 302 Mrd Euro
http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/soziales/bild-677319-57832.html
Average debt ratio: 112,6 % of the national of the gross domestic product GDP
GDP-increase 2009 = -1,1%
Share at GDP Euro- Zone only 2,6% (2008)Greece is bankrupt!
Let it die.
Ultimately the markets will decide the fate of Greece and indeed the other “PIGS” in the EU. If they decide that they will lend at “best rates” because of the actions Greece is taking or because of any EU support guaranteed, then it will survive.
If the lenders won’t lend beneficially then Greece will not survive. And there will be a domino effect in the Eurozone, causing the collapse of the Euro. That is something the EU will NEVER accept.
QED, Greece will be helped, one way or another.
