    I am interested in your response to my question at #137. And I have another question. Why is your desire for something, which by any rational argument is unlikely to come about, so passionate, particularly as you can have no personal feelings for the history, only feelings based on what you have read and seen on film, and, correct me if I am wrong, never lived in either part of Ireland.

    My only comment after this rant would be that bad driving by an HGV driver is therefore inexcusable, considering just how much better they SHOULD be, in your judgement. Or perhaps you rule out altogether the possibility of bad HGV driving.

    I suggest the rather more objective and rational posts of some of the other HGV drivers on this thread are closer to reality.

    I only used that word because you implied that the USA was trying to make it something that it wasn’t. The US is simply stating the truth. It is not saying, so far as I am aware, that it is worse. It is different and it is global.

    And so far as it impinges on defence policy it is a great deal different from dealing with localised home-grown terrorism.
