If it was as simple as just soldiers killing unarmed civilians then there would be no debate. It isn’t.

So if your idea of being deadly serious is to create a new state for the Israelis at the South Pole then I don’t think I can contribute much more to our debate.

Now you are moving the goalposts right out of the ground. The hypothesis you have raised is entirely irrelevant.

Weak leadership in the US is not a good thing. They’ve swapped one poor leader for another, exacerbated by the fact that the expectations were always far too high.
As for your second point I presume that is a Finn putting his tongue in his cheek, is it?;)

Gollevainen – “I’m asking simple question: Can brithish supporters condemn the events of Bloody Sunday?”
The fact that you ask the question means that your knowledge of the Ulster problems is as shallow as so many foreigners I have known and with whom I have discussed and argued at length about Ireland.
Having strong opinions without much knowledge and on the basis that because its a minority I’ll support it does not smack of great thought or understanding. I certainly would not dream of debating Finnish history vis a vis the Soviet Union and Germany because my understanding is sketchy and shallow.

Probably not. But it is certainly doing little to temper Iran’s hotheadedness and thereby its surrogate, Syria. Israel will be feeling more exposed but cannot afford outwardly hostile action in case US support is not 100% forthcoming.
Obama’s lack of experience and his indecisiveness and his failure to “position” the USA globally, will certainly contribute nothing to trying to find a solution to the Arab/Israel conflict.

Oh dear – I have enjoyed their publications from time to time and the careful research they put into all their projects. Let’s hope it’s just a glitch.:(
