No need Ben, I found my own.
(RH is it left thumb or right? I always forget…)
If you are left-handed, which I think you said you are, then it’s the right thumb, but you must place it in the zigerat position before interflection actually occurs. If not, then I can’t be responsible for what happens….
Blue – Oh, there’s plenty of time for that – just get that thumb polished and look out your second hand apron.;)
Blue – now you can become the 14th Enigma member……..:)
Neatly summarised – suggest you forward it as a footnote to the Saville Report.!!

It is symptomatic of those who are unable to shake off the history, who despite protestations to the contrary cannot see ill in the IRA’s methods and actions and whose perception of the discovery of the “truth” must be doubted. And the irony, as you point out, is that the British Army were sent to Ulster to protect the Catholic population.

If you think an apology would have earned the respect of the republican movement than I respectfully suggest you are deluded. Those of us who lived during and through those times well understand the reality of the IRA’s methods and actions and any admission of guilt would hve been turned swiftly and dangerously against the British and the troops.
A previous poster has referred to the provocation and intimidation and we must not forget that the march was banned and the soldiers were prepared for the worst.

Balloons pre-date Zeps by centuries. They were first used in anger in 1794 and subsequently through the 19th century in various wars and campaigns, right up to WW1.
Your last sentence makes sense – I think I am right in saying that at the peak of the troubles little more than 50% of civilian republicans actually supported the Provos. As for the truth – well that means different things to different people.
