Tried a few times but never got it, I’m afraid. But I know it will be sorely missed by a legion of fans. One of the Beeb’s better offerings and that’s not saying much.

Fortunately there are still a few of the “few” left and they are the only people qualified to pass judgement, I would have thought.

Lovely photo – it links in to the the other thread about Tommy’s death and the Flying Brooms.

Idiotic driving this morning by a Hungarian HGV driver. Let me rephrase that in case there are any sensitive Hungarian forumites – idiotic driving of a Hungarian registered HGV.

Why in the EU specifically, Kabir? My guess is that several million in the UK, France, Germany, Holland and Spain will be fanatically glued to the TVs until their teams are knocked out and that will be that. Small minorities will be genuinely interested in the tournament whoever is playing.

But the majority couldn’t care less and will run a mile from the whole overhyped, self-indulgent, money-making boreathon.

There we are in total agreement. I am also an atheist and appalled by the predominantly religious conflicts of the last thousand years. I’ll fight you and win because god is on my side, the protagonists declare. And in some cases it was the same god. Utter madness.

Well this my first Legends and I have been looking forward to it for a few months. These posts are intriguing – I am keen to find out just bad the commentary must be to be so offputting. As for the last sentiments, they are interesting because I hoped to be seeing lots of vintage aircraft displaying individually to their best. I had not expected large groups of aircraft together where, inevitably, there is less sense of excitement, as the aircraft are paraded more than displayed – or, hopefully not……

When will the provisional display times be published?
