How serious is the potential exposure to the radium paint? From various posts here I wouldn’t be sure whether I might die within minutes or just suffer from mild hallucinations.:) Are the effects carcinogenic?

Yes it could but, perhaps it’s down to age, but for me there is something inconguous about sharing the spontaneous words of 70 years ago on a 21st century social networking site. I am not a social networking site lover anyway, but even if I were, I am sure there are other better ways of sharing these words having made the decision to release them.

http://classicbritishfiles.com/ got some good stuff too 🙂

Blue – just spotted your link. I have only ever downloaded from Just Flight, so can you do the same from other sites, like the one you have linked to? I run FSX, so presumably they are all compatible. I certainly like the look of some of their aircraft.:)

Unsolicited callers of any sort don’t seem to exist in the Pas de Calais! Or perhaps I am just lucky, as seemed to be the case over the other side of La Manche, where the worst we got were poly sacks for unwanted clothes and zillions of free papers, which also fill our post box here.

I take your point but nevertheless it is still purely conjecture and I would have thought it best to leave it where it is. Since all the parties are dead and unless there is any evidence on the CVR we will never know.

Oh, dear – the mind boggles. Presumably all might be revealed in due course!:diablo:

Mmm – I rather like that last thought of yours. The problem is most of them wouldn’t last 5 minutes on a rugger pitch.

How does this piece from the Grauniad add anything to either this thread or the incident itself?
