Ah but it was very close wasn’t it 🙂
Wasn’t Clive Owen in Dad’s Army?

May 30 and June 1, 1967 Jolly Green HH-3E’s US Airforce, Paris Airshow.
Being refuelled 9 times in flight by C130’s.
As ever 😮 but I have worked on one.
Italy at a guess, although editing after Ian, he is probably right.
He always is 🙂
Is the Cambridge Crematorium the one just off the A14?
Having been away I was shocked to hear this news.
I found Steve the sort of person to go out of his way to help, in anyway at all and always had time to stop and chat, whether it be at the airfield or just sending an email to say hi, hope your ok.
As others have said, he was a man who was humourous, knowledgeable and great company, always with a good word to say and a smile that would brighten up the most miserable day on an airfield.
My thought are with Julie and Hayden and their family, I too will raise a glass tonight.
You will be greatly missed.
Yes but it was very windy you can understand why they all needed those windbreaks can’t you.
Yep Sunday but Saturday there were a few low ones, to be honest though when we looked down the airfield we were pretty much in line with the grass runway (I had forgotten they had moved it over). So the pilots had lined up correctly it was just we are not used to seeing them over there.
No its a pink cap 🙂
Smoke blobs… you see now i feel better that i am not the only one who gets those.
You need a good zoom for the Utt Butts 🙂
We had a bet at the Red Lion that I could get a better picture with my mobile than he could 😀
All a bit of fun… just as well I didn’t strip, I was getting ready for Man on the Fence to streak. 🙂
It seems I lost the bet anyway
If people didn’t jump the fence then I wouldn’t have to be in that position.
Anyway it isn’t as bad as it looks he was over to one side of us. 🙂
In the light of that maybe onboard extinguishers should be fitted to help pilot earlier.
Steve
They do and all people are informed before they fly where this is located.
As Bruce says the small amount of damages shows how quickly this fire was put out.
It was a minor incident dealt with quickly and efficiently.
