Yes it is capacity expansion as I think T2 may be used by Star – remember T5 will handle 30Milllion passengers annually which is a huge capacity expansion even if T2 were to be left totally empty.

I work for BAA and “on the grapevine” T2 will be demolished. It is desparate need of work and BAA are unwilling to spend the vast sums of money needed. Not sure if I am 100% but I think T2 is the original 1st Terminal of Heathrow. Anyway T5 is a magnificent building and I am looking forward to seeing it open.

Lots of people knock Heathrow, but I love it… like a city in itself. 😉
