I take your point, but you don’t see many of our Police cars or Fire appliances
in news reports from Iraq or Afghanistan for instance.

This is not about inheritance 😡

The point is a man who was once prepared to pay the ultimate sacrifice for his Monarch, Government & Country if/when they needed him, is treated with less importance than a piece of litter dropped in the street, by a Government & Country who are only too quick to turn their back on him when he needs them.

Our service end ex-service personnel deserve better.

I’m guessing (and only guessing mind you) that it won’t be at ‘legends’ in 2015 🙂

Not having anything better to do this evening I’ve had a trawl through AIX’s ‘What Aerodrome?’ thread and found one solitary picture of what I remember as a pundit, mounted on a trailer. This shows one at Culdrose and is a small part of a larger photo, the item in question is parked beside the windsock over on the right. The one I remember at Northolt was like this, more boxy in appearance than the one in Jetprov’s picture and was painted standard airfield dark green.

    Would this be RAE Bedford?

he’s not just any tiny little man – he’s a Leprechaun – it is an ex Irish Air Force Spitfire after all

Methinks no Leprechaun, but maybe the worlds first authentic photo of a real Gremlin, (making fast his escape) 😀
