I can announc I am the insider either but depends on who you believe.
Too many insiders be claimed in Chinese forum, in terms of the information they gave for these years, none of them gave truth.
Sixteen and Sixty
Sounds pretty similar for most Chinese, particularly moi.
Perhaps you’re right, but I thought this difference came from F-16 with CFT which F-2 didn’t equipped yet.
What does make the range of Mitsubishi F-2 slightly longer than F-16 whereas combat radius significantly inferior to?
stolen form 航空愛好者
No idea about what did you mean.
Perhaps the size is not numbered yet but the comparison has been clear verymuch
Hey, at least everyone who thinks the J-20 is just China’s attempt at an A-380 superjumbo have been shut up 😀
Perhaps not huge as A380, doubtless it is a jumbo among the extant and coming 4th generation jetfighters:p
Though I’m unfamiliar with usual testing timelines it hasn’t been a year yet so I don’t expect them to really push the air frame. It could just be some low speed maneuvering test. It’s also possible that right now the plane is under powered and won’t be able to perform tighter maneuvers until it gets its intended engine.
That’s it, so this is video only, it is too early to praise it.
It’s hard to tell whether the turn was 180, more, or less, because there’s no stationary reference. On the other hand, I wonder if these maneuvering tests reveal anything about the J-20’s intended role.
Exactly, I just see it roughly, seemingly it is downview to upview. On the other hand, there is no any reference to justice high maneuverable it was yet.
An acid grape are not able to cover the weakness.
The video presented nothing amazing but growlling.
The first 180’d turn started at 00:30, when it seems completed, it was already 00:42.
The second time can not be seen entirely but when the jet was back to the original position where the turn was begun, at least 30 seconds passed…..
Primirily I didn’t want to post anything in recent, but now I have to say the wing load is perhaps far more trublesome for the jet.
I hope to say this video is merely for thrilling sight, and this is a test only.
One want to eyeball the RCS from a/c is just same as eyeball the light from solar.
Sorry ? F-35 has an “S-duck”? No it doesn’t, it’s just a single engine aircraft , with side intakes. That’s not one of these bloody “S-ducks” everyone is mental about either.;)
Yes, it isn’t a S-duct, the necessary condition for S-duct is that straight line be blocked while it going through without additional device.
The crux here is a essential condition or a sufficient condition for the so-called minimizing radar wave to return from the engine compressor face.
I think that logic here will be perfectly fair —— “a return of radar wave from turbofan be minimized doesn’t represent a stealth feature, however a stealth concept must contains it.” This quote stolen from one of members who expressed when we discussed stealth topic in my QQ group.
A question still remained there is that S-duct the only way to such minimizing? The answer the principle of refraction brings to is no. The only feature to the S-duct is curve. The curve to stealth must contains many other characters the curve not brings to, if not, then a curved radar blocker just is a stealth device for stealth, no more argument needed.
Any denials are permitted but before you deny it, ask yourself what you deny for? remember the blocker with many blades adapts blocking short wave from AESA more than long wave radar.
Attention, this is the thread for J-20 not PAKFA.
However, the key point is Yanks after adopting the radar blocker in their 1st gen stealthy, formally induced fighters like F117 and various other fighters with stealthy features, their latest stealthy fighters all adopt the s-duct over the predecessors with radar blocker. If someone really want to imply a comparison, it should find a more convincing case like what we observed from yanks’ practice..
The expounding was so illogical that I have never seen…..
VG inlet presented anterior more than fixed inlet, to what extent or point of view, the VG inlet must be superior than fixed inlet?
Your convincing case might be truth, but how could you define the part of your seen must be the entire stealth science?
De Havilland had already studied the mounting of a 94mm/3.7 inch anti-aircraft gun in the Mosquito and, during December 1942, had already made detailled weight estimates for a ground-attack version with extra armour plating.
lapsus calami or it was really an anti-aircraft gun? I don’t think there was such heavy bomber owned or were designed by Nazi worth to shoot by this kind of caliber.
Just to answer one point with Four.
The Westland Whirlwind Designed in 1936 first flown November 1938 was the RAF’s FIRST twin engined SINGLE seat CANNON armed ALL METAL fighter.
And a further point when it first went into service at low level it could out fly and was faster than an ME109 ,an FW190 and a Spitfire flown by the average pilot.
Since no official record, I have to checked wiki
Westland_Whirlwind_(fighter)
and
De_Havilland_Mosquito
as we can see the Mosquito was faster than Whirlwind on normal speed.
