    Change the aluminium titanium skin of an f15 by ram its an very heavy duty, well i think that an modified f15 can do the same of an f22, but the f15 design was not made for supercruise.

    The shape of the f22 dont reflex the radio waves to upwards -to the high sky-, basicaly is a very conentional design that atenutes the radar reflex, the raptor stealth is not based in their geometry,also it has -or like- the same problem of the poor “lever” effect in their surfaces controls.

    i find that most people here has preconceived ideas

    Well, f22 use an very angled trapezoidal wing, the non use of canard are for an main reason , is not the better idea for an supercruseir plane use frontal cannard -an supersonic shock wave-, the lack of the foreplane are nothing to do with stealth, but if you put the canard in the right place you increase the supersonic agility,-for the same reason shockwave- and obviusly by inertial factor of an ustable design.

    Sthealt techs is not that “imposible divine creation” that most people think, also new ideas brings comun sense faults like f16 with their control planes and their gravity center so close -thats why the isrraelits design the LAVI- or the F117 black paint that has an behavior of an black body -thats why was sootdownwd in bosnia-war

    Well about it, because and delta wing has other control-surfaces thats no mean that is basically and delta (f15 mig29-24-mirage etc)….,other shapes are v wing or reverse v wing, trapezoidal wing (f18-f5) etc….

    deltas preform better at high altiitude and speed, v preform better at subsonic thats why su-27 wing use a mix of both.

    The wing design is basic in ANY airplain (Hi tech against comun sense?? :confused: )

    The F22 is only is stealth by their materials and electronics -the shape is very conventional, another history is the YF-23(trapezoidal wing)-, again put RAM in Yurofigther and problem solved…

    I see that the raptor design is limited

    f-15, mig 29, even f16 are delta wings the loose of energy is becouse the large -not the wide- of the wing at high attack angle it makes a lor of vortex in the rear portion of the wing, so if you have an such monster large(length) wing you pay losing heigth and speed, the su 27 is an mix of v and delta

    Helllo google, aerospacetech!!!

    I know the topic is a little polemic, about this i only have to sat that the F22 has not an pure stealth shape is only by their materials, so put RAM in an eurofigther and problem solved…..
    Also i read and hear the same futuristic BVR figther scene, but by now the medium range missiles has not enought pressicion to make well their job, also the jamming at medium ranges makes them more vulnerable, so the dogfigthing is still important, maybe is the same wrong concept cof the F4 phantom????
