Oddly enough,I was just thinking about putting Cliff Bennett’s Got to get you into my life on here.

Here’s another version of that Beatles song by Chicago.

My Mum was due home from hospital today and was so happy.
Now Dad’s just had a call to say she has to stay there because her hip fractured in the night.
As if it wasn’t enough to be 86 and paralysed with MS.
    I’d have it instead of her if I could,but I can’t.
I need some new swear words,I don’t know enough to deal with this.

    Such sad news.
I saw them perform on BBC TV earlier this year, and they sounded as good as ever.

I’ve loved their version of this Gordon Lightfoot song since the sixties.

What it is,it looks as though you can get wine directly through your USB ports.
When you click on the link,it tells you that it’s a spoof and that their team are working on actually getting wine to you via your pc,but that it’s not expected until 2239.
It then invites you to sign up to their club and buy wine at amazingly cheap prices.

Quite witty for the French !

If you’ve got a Google toolbar it’ll translate it for you.

I’d rather have wine from Aotearoa anyway.

    A Kit-Kat chunky caramel.
Just shows, there’s always room for improvement.

Seeing my Mum in a hospital ward with five other old ladies, all looking as though they were waiting to die.

And seeing my Dad,used to living in a bungalow, coming down a flight of stairs just like a toddler would, one step at a time.

Like Roger Daltrey sang,I hope I d-die before I get old.

    He was so posh,wasn’t he.
Partridge and oysters for his last meal ? Mine’ll probably be baked beans and value beefburgers.
And only three years older than me,oh ‘eck.
Anyone here actually used his recipe books ? I have occasionally.
