Here we are in the 21st century and the Afghan government has just passed a law that allows a man to withhold food from his wife if she won’t have sex with him.
One way of losing weight,I suppose.

Some culcha … this is Faure’s In Paradisum. I remember it from a TV documentary years ago, where it was used to accompany film of Nick Grace’s Spitfire flying. I coudn’t find that clip,so here it is with some film of a nice beach.

It’s also a beautiful spiritual piece of music in its own right,so this is specially for PMN and EGTC and anyone else reading this today who’s feeling the sadness of bereavement.

I don’t know Steve.I reckon there’s good music in every generation. This is from the 80s and it’s the best song in the universe. Ever. Definitely.

That’s such an appalling thing to do. We seem somehow to have bred a generation that have no respect for anyone or anything .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxlyhD3rgPYA song made famous by one of the Travelling Wilburys,George Harrison, sung by the man who opened Woodstock forty years ago,Richie Havens. I saw Richie Havens at our local theatre last year, what a great voice he still has.

Mr. Bee can’t stand earthworms,so I’ll have to show him this thread. Every time we’ve been to Australia I’ve tried to persuade him to look for the giant earthworms of Gippsland, which can be up to ten feet long.An earthworm which can fire an electrical charge would be his worst nightmare, but it sounds a bit far-fetched to me.Still,we certainly don’t know everything there is to know and I wouldn’t care to meet any of these worms,or a Yeti or a Thunderbird.

Seem to remember watching a horror film about similar giant worms.
Which were terrorising an american town.
now will spend all day trying to think of the title.

    Tremors .
