Yes,it is – nineteen realistic life sized figures. The actual memorial is a highly reflective dark stone wall,so if you photograph it you can see the soldiers reflected behind you.
At night, the figures look as though they’re about to come alive ( so they say – I wouldn’t have the nerve to be there then 🙂 )

    I’m having this by Linkin Park,even if I’m 100 –

All this week my husband and I’ve been taking turns to visit our friend who’s in the hospice.
It’s obvious that he’s dying, but none of us can mention this, even though we’ve known each other for more than forty years.
It’s so strange, but we’ll keep on visiting for as long as possible.

Guys, get yourselves checked regularly for prostate cancer.

    Rough day,kev ? That’s tough.
Going through my photos, this made me smile – the latest police high-speed pursuit vehicle. One up on Washington, where we saw policemen on bicycles, and one lucky officer on a Segway 😀

Went to see him this afternoon – it’s bad :(:(:(.
Thank God we have a hospice locally, and enough money being donated to keep it open.

Got home from America to find a letter from my friend in Lyttelton, who I thought must have been killed in the earthquake.
Ten minutes later got a phone call from our friend with cancer, saying he’s gone into the hospice and it’s just a matter of time.
    Life eh 🙁

My husband thinking I’d be fascinated by a cable-car museum …….
….. four blocks over and down a street so steep it drops away in front of you like the edge of the world ….
……. in lashing rain and a howling gale ….
and he seemed so surprised when I politely refused to accompany him :p
