The 8 year old who offered me a lift on his crossbar when my umbrella blew inside out,the other 8 year old who made a fantastic Lego aeroplane,explained aerodynamics to me and said he was going to be a pilot,and the 14 year old who borrowed my MP3 player because some of the tracks weren’t bad for an old bird.Kids are amazing.If only we could stay as joyful and uncomplicated all our lives .

You’re right – I help run a couple of kids’ clubs and the 5 – 9 year olds never said please or thank you.It took me a whole term’s constant repetition before the little b—–s would say them automatically.Guess Mum or Dad ( if he’s even around ) never used the words at home.

I agree it’s absolutely morally indefensible.You have to wonder at the mentality of the people who deliberately made the conditions for UK residence so narrow that it would be impossible for the majority of Gurkhas to attain.Don’t people have a conscience any more ? To get back to the point -it’s not only women today who are rude.Why have good manners become so unusual ?
