I had my own little slateboard when I started school, but we didn’t use chalk, there was a slate pencil attached to it with a piece of string
From that to tablet pc in 60 years, not bad going.

Your supposed to be some 3,000 miles away on holiday, young lady, and you STILL can’t keep away from the forum.L.O.L.

I know it’s sad,but it’s either that or talking to my husband …..

Did anyone make an Airfix Sunderland ? Being a girl I wasn’t supposed to have model kits, but my dear old Dad made me a beautiful model Sunderland for my fortieth birthday.

Good grief, what a load of old boys :p
Oh all right,I’m almost old enough to join in :

News cinemas ( or were they called cartoon cinemas ? )
In railway stations, dogs with wooden charity collecting boxes on their backs on a little saddle
    Penny for the guy
The milkman’s horse, the coalman and the rag-and-bone man
    Spangles
    Bubble cars
    45rpm records at 6s 8d,or three for £1
Lyons Corner House,Fuller’s tearoom and The Golden Egg
Timothy White’s, and Boots’ lending library
    Polyphotos

    Hmmm,I’m older than I thought.

I think he’s mastered the art of taking photographs now.Sadly,he needs to work on throwing rubbish into a bin without including his own lunch.
Today’s swearing point : catching my long hair in my little personal fan and giving myself involuntary dreadlocks.

Bleeping sound = random security check

    That’s what it was,he’s obviously a suspicious-looking character.
Actually, before he lost the beard he was a dead ringer for the murderer Dr. Harold Shipman.
    Thanks for all your suggestions.

Mr. Bee has just sufficiently recovered from jet-lag to show me the holiday photos he took this morning with his new camera.
Every single one has a nice shot of his forefinger in the corner.

I’m an old dear,I only need it for e-mailing and making witty remarks on forums :diablo:
My daughter still wants me to twitter, though she said the collossal number of tweets about The Wedding Dress made her ashamed to be female.
I thought a mobo was a popular beat music award.

Would that I were still mid-50s,but I find modern humour much more to my taste than some of the comedy I was brought up on.

One show that still makes me laugh though is Take it from here

This site has information about some old radio shows –

Thank you all for your suggestions, I really did try every one.
No joy though,so a trip to the local computer repairers revealed the cause – a catastrophic failure of the motherboard, more expensive to repair than what the netbook’s worth.
The sellers have agreed to a full refund, but this left me without my internet dummy for my forthcoming holiday, and I need some relaxation if I’m going to be banged up with Mr. Bee twenty-four hours a day for three weeks.
I’ve just bought myself a 7 inch Android 2.1 tablet.
Does anyone have any tips for things I need to know, problems I might encounter ? It’s up and running at home but I haven’t tried it anywhere else yet.
It’s small enough to go in my handbag, but presumably it has to go through a special security scanner in airports ? I don’t want another technical disaster.
