Whilst I would say it’s regrettable that Wootton Bassett is proposed as the venue for it to take place,I don’t believe it should be banned.
Every British service man or woman who died in Afghanistan did so because they were supporting the Western concept of freedom for everyone to express his or her opinion,in a peaceful manner of course.
The march should only be banned if there is firm evidence that it’s likely to take place in an atmosphere of deliberate confrontation.
I might add that when the funeral of our local lad who was killed in Afghanistan took place there were many Muslims in the crowd paying their respects to his funeral cortege.
