Bet your glad to be back I bet you didn’t go grass tracking like we did!!!!!!!!!
Is it Malta a couple of years ago
The number you have quoted is the part nos for the fin or Seitenflosse Vollst as it is called in the bf 109 spares manual
The fin would have been replaced during the rebuild to suit the DB engine so it could be original
It all starts at 10:00hrs and is finished at 11:30ish
Hope this helps
Nice pictures it’s a shame it uses a electric starter I used to enjoy using the starter handle on Black 6 it gave us ground crew something to do.
We also flew with composite blades made by Hoffman although the original alloy ones are fitted now.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU YOUNG GIT ENJOY YOUR TIME OFF!!!! 😀
No rest for the wicked eh!!!!
We are that busy that UNC HAS BEEN GIVEN 4!!!! days off.
The Dak engine is only a cylinder change/repair.
So no need for me to start struttin’ yet
The boss should be air testing her today about 1300hrs weather permiting.

Have you actually read the report, it is not pilots and engineers that decide how much money is needed for a venture, it is not pilots and engineers that set this kind of ball rolling, however when a venture like this is planned, there is a series of procedures to follow, such as planning for every eventuality, making sure that there are spares and manpower available, enough hangar room for said aircraft etc. These preliminary meetings/conversations are only initiated in the case of serious intentions, hence my referring to conversations that have taken place. Those ‘serious intentions’ have to be intitiated from those who have the final say on the Museum’s ventures.
If you have spoken to someone, it is your choice whether you believe what you were told, perhaps it was you who was misled!
Read the report again, and you will see that the plan was set in motion, unfortunately those in charge wanted more money than could be raised.
And just for the record, I don’t recall calling you a DUMB YANK, however I do resent the implication that the presumption that the Canadian Lanc was coming, was taken from friendly banter between myself, the pilot and engineer.
We are professionals, and as such do not indulge in speculation and gossip, but act on facts known.
